I use it for one month with an Alesis D4. You mount it on the bass drum hoop, you plug it in and works perfectly (careful not too "crushes" the cell on the bass drum skin at the risk of CLAT). He remains fixed on the frame - with xlr connectors
I would do this choice because the hardware is super strong!
