« Bugera sound yes but not reliable »
Published on 01/12/11 at 05:46Tube amp 100w
3 channels truly independent
Programmable digital reverb per channel
UTILIZATION
The amp is simple to use
No need for manual
The clean sound is clean and not too steep (peavey classic), it is not a fender but its something more modern. As the clean channel does not win there is no risk that it saturates. The drive channel gives excellent results in crunch (surprisingly).
But especially big sound that this amp is that it sounds good and there very well.
The lead channel and ultra-efficient and has all the settings necessary to sculpt his sound and a real channel can be used for a second distortion is not just a boost.
For
SOUNDS
and powerful modern music, and in its price range this amp gives very impressive results. I play a PRS with top U.S. and even vintage sound is excellent crunch. The clean sound is not great but it is far from being unusable. XL functions of channels 2 and 3 boostent sound and become more aggressive.
And if you do not put anything on the effects loop that serves as a real boost parameter since the effects loop has an adjustable level.
The reverb is not terrible it must not be abused.
OVERALL OPINION
I only kept a few months, because although I find the amp extremely well thought out and I like its sound, it has a crippling defect it is not reliable. Outages are frequent. I am using two models since I had changed and that some time later the same conclusion with the second. The Bugera 333 XL 212 is a mirage too good to be true at that price unfortunately!
