The Fender Pro Reverb was introduced in the sixties as an amplifier to round out their line of amps. The Twin Reverb was the flagship for many years, and lots of players loved them, but the weight and high wattage made it a no-go for some. The Fender Pro Reverb, rated at about 40 watts but maintaining the classic 2x12 speaker configuration, was definitely a step closer. The Pro Reverb puts out 40 tube watts, has 2 12"s and has the typical blackface era layout of two channels. The first is normal and has volume, treble, and bass controls with a bright switch like a Twin Reverb. The vibrato channel has those same controls, but also contains the standard reverb and vibrato controls that are on most standard Fenders of the era.

UTILIZATION

Getting a good sound out of the Pro Reverb is certainly a simpler task than dialing in a big ol' Twin Reverb, that's for sure! Being that it's only 40 watts as opposed to 85, you're not dealing with the super high headroom that a Twin takes up in a space. However that being said, 40 tube watts is still nothing to scoff and the Pro Reverb still isn't what I would call a bedroom or basement amp... definitely something that should be gigged properly. Other than the wattage factors, it's still a great sounding clean Fender amp that does what it says and sounds great while doing it!

SOUNDS

The tones out of this amp are pretty cool. They're more or less very Twin like in character, but I find that even considering that, the Pro Reverb also has a little bit of a sweeter tone, kinda like the Super Reverb. The Twin is quite loud and as a result is brighter to my ears. The Pro Reverb is a little more ideal for softer styles like smoother country or blues. I also enjoy hearing them with a good quality analog drive box in the front for either a little bit of casual dirt or for some full on high gain type sounds as well.

OVERALL OPINION

All in all I think the Fender Pro Reverb is a great buy for someone looking for great tone a-la a Twin Reverb and who likes the dual 12" speakers, but doesn't want the full gauntlet of 85 tube watts. The Pro Reverb is an ideal gigging or jamming amp provided you can get some volume pumped into it, even just a bit, but certainly less than the Twin. They can be had for around a grand used if you want a blackface model, which is a great deal for a real deal vintage amp from the glory days!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for one week and I'm good surprises exxellente surprises, its extremely good (fortunately for the price) I sold the pod 2 and 4 * 6 12line with the classic 50/50 but honestly I think I find my sound I play for fifteen years and I had a tube amp mi60, a transistor amps, the cit pod2 and stuff above and I'm in heaven, I remake the m I choose a good dozen times, here I reckon you understand I love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I put around 10 because my trial is positioned for scne! for the studio I keep pod2 which is adapted to this configuration but I n'tait not satisfied with the live sound with the pod so feel free to buy a real amp scne

MODELS There are two: the Silver Face and Black Face, that match 2 production PERIOD Different.
Mine is a silver (70), with 3-band EQ.
It's just like a Twin but 50 W, making it much more playable on configs to repeat or small clubs. But as is the all-tube Obviously, it can also spit out very very strong.

UTILIZATION

The trs rglages are simple in appearance, but it takes a bit of exprience to make the most humble and stay in front of the "life" inhrente lamps, which means that the sound is not always n exactly the same.

I prfre in Twin, more powerful and difficult to use other than on scne.
Mine Has Fully rvis by a professional service (change of all lamps and capabilities, cleaning all the connectors and knobs, etc ...) and it does not move. No cracking, no buzz, no jumps. It's solid trs trs!

The trmolo allucinant is (I love) but only works in full mode ball (hence 9 / 10).

Why did I buy the half a dozen amps before falling on it?
I will not change: I found: the ultimate amp.

Unless you do prfereriez the 100W model to break all the tiles, I recommend you try it and adopt it!

Almost everything had to say about the hardware config, a real pleasant surprise in terms of connectors and also the side rails that allow to use live wedge position. The building's beauty and focntionnel.

UTILIZATION

I said there's nothing practical and simplest is to find the sound Of course if you like the record sound of this amp. The knobs respond well, with progression (not like on some amps têteMarshall tube style) and suddenly you can really Scult something even if the registry is still quite agreed.

Shame that the reverb is a bit noisy as mentioned in the forum. here makes it a bit unusable beyond 4 see 5. I do not Played almost because I was going through a DG Stomp to manage delay and reverb is no bobo for my personal case.

The tremolo is really good, he arrived via a sudden switch and outlet idem are very flexible and not associated with differences in levels of distressing.

OVERALL OPINION

I went out with a head 6100LM + baffle and I was told that the combo config would allow me to spare me a little but not back ... it was almost worse.

Anyway here is worth it seems like each other but too wise for me in the end. Better than the MC ² Brunetti I tried as first-line is an amp with good opportunities, it offers a broad scope for those who are in a register pop, rock, funk and blues ofcourse.

All tube: 2 AX7, 4 AX7 WA, 1 AT7, 2 6L6GC 50 watts, effects loop with level of output and adjustable, an external speaker output, 1 output Pramper, 1 input e power amp, rverb, presence, bright. 2 channels: 1 clean, 1 overdrive, 2 spares equalizer.

UTILIZATION

EQ very effective as usual Fender. Config simple. Drive over the canal, the Mid qd is above 3, the dconnecte Aiges.

SOUNDS

Compared to TwinAmp, the clean is more "hot". More charged in harmonics and gain, but remains crystalline, the famous Fender.Brillant clean and very dynamic. The Drive channel goes far enough gain without being "mtal. Lger to hard crunch of 70, it is excellent. The rverb is superb.

OVERALL OPINION

3 weeks ago bought a Afien, fully Retube rgl by me, it has the sound I expected. The hardware pro. When achte this amp, you know specific on what you want to get her ... And is happiness. No notes max but the very very good ...

Jensen for a change of Eminence Legend 1258. Jensen is the perfect clean but causes a buzz saturation.Un spectrum a bit more strait for Eminence (a little less bass and treble) but perfect in overdrive).
In short, I love it!
