This is an all-tube amp (3 and 2 6l6B 12AX (Groove Tubes original!))
It delivers 40 W and believe me it's real watts and there are really 40, not less!
It has two inputs high and low impedance preamp output, input Poweramp, footswich outlet and an outlet for extra HP into 8 ohms
The clean channel has a volume control input, and shares the three-band EQ (super efficient) with the drive channel that owns and Drive settings and volume. The Drive channel can switch More Drive to saturation much important (it's not Randall). A switch toggles between normal mode bright (attack larger). The reverb is superb, and a presence control lets colorize all at the end of the chain
UTILIZATION
Super easy to use
The sound is exceptionally good
The English manual is very simple
I use it in conjunction with a Marshall JCM 900
SOUNDS
I tested it with all my guitars and effects, it's going for everything.
It is primarily a blues amp, I love the config Slimcaster (my custom made inserts, equipped with a Texas Special Set)> Fuzz Face> Wha-wha Vox
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for six years. I changed the power tubes this year by KT66, and is even better!
Its only flaw is a peach too important to play in the apartment
I have used many amps and this one is frankly nickel
The value for money is good
I would do without hesitation that choice
Edit 25/02/2009
I shall give one layer to my inexpressible joy!
I Retube any amp this year KT66 RUBY, RUBY 2 ECC82 in V1 and V3 and ECC 83 RUBY High Gain in V2, then I put a Celestion Heritage G12H30 (the real vintage 30) not to be confused with a V30!
It is really a killer this time!
The sound is really very roots transcended by HP, I returned in precision and dynamic, a bit like listening to music on stereo speaker and then we listen to the same thing on studio monitors.
After more than 10 years of loyal service my Hot Rod has found the sourrire and me too!
PS I had already put 10 in 2002, now I wanted to put 12!
