UTILIZATION
Operation is a breeze. You plug the gratoune, we made some adjustments and go! We get lost a bit at first with many buttons footswitch, but we made it fast enough! The two independent channels are also quite substantial, however, that damage, except for the middle, the clean and crunch does not have separate settings ...
SOUNDS
I play the metal-based precision and groove. That is, I want a crisp, clear, sharp, but still hot and knows how to be bold.
Well, that sounds more than perfect gem in the register! Personally, I use almost the channel low gain for my riffs, and honestly, it's perfect for playing in the vein of Sikth, Meshuggah, Gojira, etc.. The sound is powerful, clean, and stay warm. It has its "naked" so characteristic in ENGL. Play ultra-jerky rhythms is a joy!
To balance the big deals? Heat and power as I have rarely seen!
Regarding the high gain channel, I use it only rarely, on passages lead. Nothing to say, in this register, it stops. However, because of its gain and its extremely high compression, it will not suit the rhythm ...
Otherwise, the clean is nice, more enjoyable, when I scratched my splits in simple microphones. That said, it is not at Fender!
Small problem, however, the crunch. Just infamous, lifeless, dirty in the worst sense of the word ... Damage. But we're not there to make small rock, friends, so I do not take into account in my rating
OVERALL OPINION
I use this amp for 1 month, and I can tell you that this choice I would do without hesitation! I played before on a Peavay 6505. This one comes away altogether, but does not really equal in the fury of ENGL whether in heat or accuracy!
