«  A sound, but what a sound! »

Published on 07/02/14 at 00:07
50W single channel head with two inputs High and Low. The Low entry can bypass the preamp lamps to reduce the gain.

My model is the Hot Rod 50 Avenger, a loop effect is available, the latter works really well, also with studio effects in line with the pedals.

Simple Adjustments up to 11 ;): gain, bass, middle, trebble, presence, volume, depth

Impedance selector for the baffle at the back

UTILIZATION

Single channel amp, everything is played in the fingers, it is really simple to have SOUND with this amp, all settings are cool.

The volume knob is very effective, I play most of the time in my room with the volume <2, even without exploiting the power tubes, the sound suffers no comparison with other amps a simulation or a mini-head lamps 5W

SOUNDS

The Roar Soldano, really huge. I already had the SP77 and the Hot Rod, the Avenger is clearly above, the grain is beautiful. The reserve gain is huge, I personally do not exceed 4/11 gain, I have a great sound good rock, a big Roar with great dynamics. My PRS sounds amazing, my strat EMG buildup (plaque Lukather) sounds a little less colder.

You can play with the volume knob on the guitar to get a clean sound, the amp responds very well but do not expect a clean pure. Using the input Low, with the right settings (gain <3 volume> 3) we get a true clean.

For extreme sonorities, this is not my specialty, but the grain of this amp couple with the power gain and the adjustment of depth you get a ahurrisant thing, a great alternative to bees rectifiers and ultra-cold hollow sound

OVERALL OPINION

Truly an amp try a big personality. Remains only to work fingers, focus on his game to get SOUND.
I am writing this review to do justice to this amp apparently little known, or consider a twist for sonorities only extreme, it is excellent in the context Big Rock.
