Ladies Gentlemen: This is a REAL full preamp tubes (which is rare in the racks) and it's a MONSTER! Three channels: clean / OD / distortion with EQ 4-band EQ on the clean & 3-band common to the OD & distortion. 4 effects loops: one per channel + a global practice to insert a delay on its lead by example. Note: one of the four lamps RockMaster is used for loops (to enhance the signal at the output of the pedals).

UTILIZATION

While there is clearly the plug and play: This preamp sounds regardless of the settings, unlike some preamps that must be addressed to the millimeter to have a drinking her. The RockMaster plugs is adjusted in seconds and the eq ... graaaaaaave it sounds! On any gear, even live on a sound card as it does not simu HP! (Lower acute need of course)

SOUNDS

The sound is clearly the biggest asset of this preamp: it rings, it rings and rings! It's amazing: the sound is not round but rather "right" with a lot of heat, however (not dry, attention), which surprised me at first use is the clean bass, very present , which give the appearance that I might call a little "dark". Do not hesitate to put a lot of mediums.

There is also a push / pull mids on the eq OD / distortion that can dig the low-mids, this produces a modern sound (useful for the hardcore, yeah!) Highlighting the low very serious. I use a 10 band eq pedal between the preamp and my power amp to select the frequencies that I like, and there is obtained almost sounds pro.

OVERALL OPINION

YES, I would do this choice, this preamp is amazing, every time I play as a group the guys laughing on seeing the vehicle whose design is a bit dated (pink & black!) But huge eyes open when I myself to play! This preamp has only three sounds, but of excellent quality. I got mine at € 200 ... he ridicules or any distortion pedal and a lot more amp Honer.
