It is a 2 channel preamp equipped with 2 tubes, one per channel, with a converter that allows you to exit the digitized sound to SPDIF.
There is a phantom power per channel, switch polarity, a pad, a low-cut and an effect called miclim which is a limit.
Like the 207 it has inputs and outputs XLR and 6.35. More AES / EBU and SPDIF input word clock.
classic rack. Can be encoded in 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, and receive a clock.

UTILIZATION

Hyper simple. Heat must leave before connecting or it sends clacs.
the manual is in English rather complete.

SOUND QUALITY

I find it quite transparent. I also have a QuadMic. it is difficult to objectively compare but I think the 207 is more accurate, more clear. I have not enough experience. In all cases the signal-noise ratio is better than the RME (leaf).

OVERALL OPINION

Very little, one week.
I like this machine, it allows me to have two more tracks on my Digi002.
I have not had the opportunity to try out its competitors.
I have touched U.S. $ 299 so the PQ was excellent report.
We'll see, it's Rican it looks sturdy.
