Above all, I note that I am the manufacturer, but also the first user of my products, so here I give an opinion as objective as possible, I do not talk about price ... and put an average rating to each party , not to distort the future review, but these notes do not reveal what I think of the products.

Technology: Preamp tube 5751M Groove Tubes, transformers Lundahl input and output.
Connectivity:
Balanced XLR mic input, line level unbalanced Jack high impedance
Line level output jack or XLR balanced and earth free.

In the controls:
- Low-cut filter with cutoff frequencies of the two choices
- Switch with 48V phantom power regulated
- Switch phase inversion
- Gain and volume knobs

It's very simple, one branch is chosen if we cut the bass or not, and we look for the combination gain / volume is going well.

UTILIZATION

It's very simple, one branch is chosen if we cut the bass or not, and we look for the combination gain / volume is going well.

Where it goes bad: the preamp, like his colleagues, "vintage" and "clean" does not cons reaction, so the saturation comes quickly. If you're the type to make a small adjustment, press "rec" and surf the Internet when the musician is recording, you may be surprised.
If ever the level rises sharply, it will play the gain to ensure that the signal does not saturate. I said that it was a choice to design a preamp like that, I wanted to have this little light saturation (there talking about a tube preamp?)
This saturation happens here a little easier on the preamp Clean.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound is reproduced correctly, and can be colored a lot by what one chooses as a gain, and what we tolerate as saturation.
It can be used on numerous sources, with many microphones. Because of its ability to saturate quickly, a microphone with an output level low will surely give better results.

OVERALL OPINION

it gives me the preamp the most interesting of which I propose, one that has more personality, but also the most difficult to use. It can give very good results, as catastrophic as being the source for recording, the microphone placement, and the technician who will work on it (that said, this is the case for almost all audio and all decision sound).
