My two decks have more than 6 years old and I am the 3rd hand of this stuff.

Did you try many other models before buying it?
Yes I mix the disco as well as private party and I could use all sorts of vinyl turntables as well as CD!

What is so special that you like most and least?
What I like the most:
- Perfect torque (easier than the MKII for example)
- Pitch 20 50
- 33/tours 45/tours 78/tours

What I like least:
- Platinum quite fragile but if we take care of, no worries



How do you rate the quality / price?
I think its pretty decent, when you see the price of a MKII I think that there are no pictures (I admit that it's tough Technics, it is good stuff but I think that c is prohibitively expensive, end this is my point of view )


With experience, you do again this choice?
No, I do not think réacheter turntables, my friends have and we're pretty careful of our equipment! I think rather invest in a machine (live do what)

is the same as american audio htd 4.5, Reloop RP 6000 mk5s SYNQ x.trm.1 and only the price and brand changes.
It is + look, it is its weight (it inspires confidence), the blue light, the very precise pitch + / -10 + / -20 33 45 78 exellent with reset, a couple monstrous 4.5 K, very stable and adjustment possible to the brake and start + or - useful according to the use made of it. frankly it has nothing to envy Techniks except that their reputations. in a word PERFECT.
the - ... is not really one - but I wish a tonearm right.

I know when I would change my avi, but if it is a costo mk2 without hesitation I would do the same choice, except that by then new trinkets will be designed.

I use these plates for 2 years ... I bought a friend who used a year and has changed for Technics M5GE.

Basically the BST PR 4.5 do not have to blush before the Technics M5GE!!
Apart from the finish that is most successful on technics (machining of metal parts that oxidize slightly on TSB), TSB is the best touch: the big difference lies in the couple's table!

The pair of BST is impressive and each time I pass the Technics I need 15 minutes for me to r'habituer low torque if you throw the plate too much, or it is holding back too ...

I have no reliability problems on the turntables.

Another advantage over M5GE the RCA cables and power connectors are on each side, which will be an advantage in a possible change.

In summary, if we disregard the image is not very flattering compared to Technics, the BST PR 4.5 are of great turntables accurate, reliable, efficient ...

for less than a week I bought a pair of bst in time (400 euros a pair).

- What is so special that you like most and least?
I was informed before and I must say that indeed it is really a first view of the good stuff.
for +, I find the torque impeccable, really a pleasure to use for a particular mix house (120-130 bpm). aesthetics is no exception especially blue lights very sympas.pour options confess options that reverse 20 or 50 I do not use.

for - in fact it is rather a concern for the pitch that works very well (for now) but I feel fragile when the AC goes down or moves slightly from left to right; ago a slight gap not found on the technics.

As dj I played regularly on technics (almost all the time in fact). and so far I find the bst very close in performance. we must see after the duree.de In general, it has a feel more finesse and technique that technics 1200 but - of reliability ...

excellent! 400 euros the pair used (even 600 new) is really interesting especially given the exorbitant price in this domaine.d Moreover we see that the price of technics tends to decrease because of competition.

for now, I can not say much juger.je obviously yes but I'll wait.

For general note I put 9 / 10 everything is perfect except the printing of the pitch I feel weak.

Mk2 Technics Synq xtrm1, numark TT500, TTX, and a lot of crap too ...

What thing do you like most/least about it?

This deck does not support transportation, beware, therefore, the couple and all the innovations can make you want to aquérir, but do not buy without messing bst, solid in appearance, so fragile in reality.
I am always careful with my equipment and I was really disappointed.

What is your opinion about the value for the price?
Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice? ...

Necessarily bad, but for an amateur beginner, without the move, there are ways to have fun, give the couple being exceptional, innovative features.

I use two turntables TSB PR Pro 4.5 now for four years, I bought new in December 2006.

I always mixed on this model but I recently used a 1200 MKII sl certainly used and well worn, but I can assure you that this model of the TSB is worth much.

The only negative that we hear on this model: fragile, not strong. I know that this model since December 2006 and I carry everywhere (in a fly box of course): every Friday for rehearsals, concerts, dj set around all the time, trimballées right and left since years, they have not budged a bit, still the same power and strength for both. If we take care there is no reason why they do not match for the legendary MKII.

In addition there are many handy extras that I could do without: a pitch + / - 50% for example, instant locking at 0% ... you guessed it I find this extra model, even if TSB was not good products platinum vinyl, they made an effort for this model. I recommend it!
