Superb record player of great quality, which has seen the vinyl on his plate. I do think it's one of the first model released direct drive, in any case is the first model with dual, while the patent is of technics.
No offense to fans of thorens, rega ... etc. who swears by the belt drive, I have never heard the slightest rumble on my plate! it is equipped with a shure M97HE 4000D1 or worse depending my mood, coupled with either a Marantz 2225L or QUAD 909 lin KOLECTOR and Spendor S8E or Focal Chorus 714V
No need to hide it for me this 701 is a small jewelry I ever part with it! it is in perfect condition.
Only the thickness of the Plexiglas cover speaks volumes about the quality of manufacture. Aluminum plate weighs 2.5 kg alone and provides exceptional stability.
Dual was the largest manufacturer of turntable in the world, and with this model it proves his immense knowledge, even if today there is a production under the same brand, but is this really DUAL?
In hindsight, if this model was still I rushed from a reseller to buy! BRAVO DUAL
