User Denon DL 103 cell I read here an opinion on the TSD 15 who had a bit shocked because he criticized a lot the Denon. So I gained TSD15 with EMT 948 (€ 2000 in Hamburg, Diamond HS). I had a contact in Germany, a former engineer of EMT, which refurbishes the cells for a decent price (around € 500 anyway) cheaper than the shop EMT. (If anyone is interested in address ..). And I realized that I had read the opinion, it's a great unit, we must listen to a voice with orchestra to understand the difference in clarity of plans, a deep understanding of amazing scene. The piano is incomparably sharper and ends of notes endless. But I can not say what all this from the plate, from the preamp EMT (certainly important) of the 948 and the part of the SDT 15.
I know, for trying is that the 103 on the DL 948 is better than the 928, but this is the part of mechanics (by the way: the DL 103 is perfect with the preamp EMT ). Finally I would add though that the LD 103 is an excellent cell (especially considering its price, because the EMT TSD 15 new home would be € 800), slightly introverted probably, yes, but never disappointing his good pre- pre-set to maximum gain (32dB). Exciting experience.
