- What technical specifications have motivated your choice?

Direct recording of guitar, bass, voice, midi Roland SPDS and hyper Basic keyboard, all on the mixer Fruity Loops 8 of electrorock
- What is your config (Map mother / CPU / Ram / Hard, ...)?
Two guitarists, one singer, claviriste, a bassist and a drummer ^^
Otherwise, a PC with a DUO 2.4Ghz, 2GB of RAM, under Vista.
USE
Well, in terms of the installation, you install the driver, plug the firewire, is launched Fruity and Go!
Everything is super light, easy and fast installation on Vista, with a small interface for generals parameters (buffer size, samplerate will jusqua 192khz anyway) and a handy monitoring screen.
Super simple, yet effective.
IMPLEMENTATION
In terms of recording, the sound of a bass or guitar is really beautiful. Warm, round, the first 2 switches tracks fashion instrument sounds really good. After for voice, using a Sennheiser 855 and a Shure SM 58 for bass. Everything goes niquel and my Multipad recorded in stereo sound makes it completely transparent. The knobs are agrables (this is important when memememe if in time they grsillent when you go up to the 90-95%. But nothing serious, nothing serves its rise as high check in. Sampling rate is really incredibly lev is no over-sampling and sound very transparent. And the 2 outputs indpendantes headphones can be useful hyper rvler.
Just one problem, its can come only from my config, but I have problems of stability on Fruity Loops, its just happens to dcrocher his whole its cutting, simply redraw the buffer but its enough and make it impossible to use live

For what is asked (4 analog tracks, and between MIDI), it really fulfills its role. Multitrack recording is really a pleasure, although with time I regret that there is not a little more tracks
The phantom power, I do not use it (I'd like ^^) but it's still the same couple pair track.
The very reliable gear and very good quality in terms of Pramp though I also regret too Leve latency for live use. So good interface, especially if you do not want normment runs and we do not play live with but little good tracks (even very good) drafts. Alesis Vive! ^^
