This is a great case on paper: a DI box (XLR) with the ability to play with headphones, a connection to an iPhone or iPad and USB output for recording. There just has a view meter to adjust the input level (there is an active and passive switch) and a knob for the headphone output level. You can either adjust the sound with its IPhone or IPad, or use a preamp upstream ... or simply plug it in. bass and basta, ideal with an acoustic bass.
I was looking for a gadget to play quietly with headphones and external sound card that makes all dedicated to the bass, I thought I had the Holy Grail between hand. Frankly the idea is almost perfect. In addition it is pretty.

UTILIZATION

So I downloaded the app on iPhone (AmpKit) Pay and download virtual amps equally paid. It worked ... what 3 months? 2-3 updates later, it stopped working. No bowl poor pigeon, you paid into the void. And it's not because they have downloaded the pitches, updated potchs, leaning left, tapped right ... nothing to do.
Well, fortunately, I have a Tech21 VT Bass at home and I can use upstream. And its "dry" is not so bad with a good bass. But it's starting to feel the sting this thing.

GETTING STARTED

Just before the application falls harbor, I tested the feature that seemed most promising: the recording. I who struggled with Lin6 UX2 (still an incredible amount of stuff to download and update), I am delighted to have just plug in a USB cable, open Garage Band, and Simone car! To me the greatest single spaces and unadorned! Finally plug in play!
Oh well it did not go how I thought as well tell you right away. There is a constant wind. I thought it was a cable problem ... not. Then I tested my headphone ... not. Bass? No more. This thing produces a humming noise parasite that makes it impossible for a single record a simple demo. Then imagine doing home recording it ...

OVERALL OPINION

I've had more than a month. And it is pourave. The only feature that works is that you can play with headphones without flipping my girlfriend (the holy) and this is the only reason I'll keep this thing. For the rest, it sucks from home sucks. I liked Ashdown but this is still a big disappointment and ultimately foutage of mouth because of the price. This is clearly insufficient at this level.
