Published on 07/23/13 at 22:20I use Garageband-standard Macbook (it also works on PC but some galleys with the supplied software, latency and drivers but this is the debate vs. PC. Mac).
WARNING: I tried with iPad but it does not work because the latest version of IOS vérouillent rce power supply device type (I think you have a USB power supply). Damage.
Guitar directly in or microphone for singing leads directly or via the pedal board and a vocalist (for voice).
For output I finally opted for the headphones plugged limp.
I used to keep track of what I play / sing.
When I travel / weekend it is in my pocket or backpack (Ue guitar / MacBook / the case and was a lil portable studio).
UTILIZATION
With the Mac, I do not use any driver door and I great.
GETTING STARTED
With the Mac it's instant. I use the GarageBand preferences menu to choose where the I / O are
The only issue (minor) that I have not yet solved is related to GarageBand and actually regards the possibility to have the monitor on the tracks that are not of type guitar (vocals). PB. bypassed by recording all of the guitar tracks via kind - after I copy a standard track or I uncheck the amp type.
OVERALL OPINION
6 months. It is super simple. Price gun for what it opens me as possibilities.
The recording quality is sufficient for what I did (it's certainly not pro but I no longer have).
