I bought the Guitar Port in a local Guitar Store for US$180. I was attracted by al the attention in Magazine and Net reviews. What I wanted most is the perceived availability of tracks with tabs.

This is a great guitar tone software. Excellent tone. Large tone selections.

Basically I bought a tone software for $180. What a sucker !!! Then I sign-up for the On-line tracks... Their tracks library is really more of a drum loops library with a few real songs. Drum loops !!! Shouldn't this come with the product. Other than Jimi Hendricks, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson, there isn't any other online guitarist work worth downloading. Most of the guitar tracks available (a handfull only) do have tabs. Its PDF type tabs. Ha ! What dinasour technology is this. Pls check out Isong products for what computerised tabs should do.

The hardware is nice durable looking. Don't know why I need a hardware just to use this Tone Software. Other Tone Software just need me to plug my Guitar to the Computer Mic. Is sale gimmick by Line 6.

For a Tone Software, I think I would pay like $49.90 for it but not $180. For the Online tracks ... most disappointing. Maybe if Line 6 work on it for 2 or 3 years, it could be good enough. But by then, another better product will be out. Unless you are looking for a Tone Software, don't buy this.
