USB audio interface from Steinberg belonging to the UR series

Steinberg will launch in January 2014 the big brother of the UR22, the UR44 USB 6x4 channel audio interface that can be used with the iPad.

Besides the higher number of channels, the UR44 remains a compact audio interface with an rugged aluminum chassis that can be easily transported and used with the included software bundle.

The UR44 offers 4 mic/line inputs on Neutrik XLR/1/4" combo connectors with Class A D-PRE preamps ; a Hi-Z attenuator is present on inputs 1 and 2 and a line attenuator is available on inputs 3 and 4. Two balanced line inputs are also available on the rear of the interface, along with 4 balanced line outputs, 2 main outputs, MIDI in and out and Class Compliant mode switch to connect the iPad with an Apple camera connection kit. Last, the UR44 features 2 headphone outputs, each with its level control.

The maximum audio resolution is 24-bit / 192kHz and the UR44 ships with the Cubase AI 7 DAW, the Basic FX Suite with DSP processors, including the Sweet Spot Morphing Strip, the REV-X reverb and the Guitar Amp Classics guitar amp simulations developed by Yamaha. The dspMixFx is also included.

The UR44 will be available in January, 2014 for the suggested price of 349€. Visit www.steinberg.net for full details.
