profplume
Available for paying and non-paying job offersWhat's up, my names Sean ( aka prof. plume, Ralo, Schirall, and others) of 32oz Productions (now dispersed into p and p productions). I had been one half of 32oz for about a decade (1996-2006), during which time we produced and engineered four albums in house as well as many side projects.
Born in The Bronx (1973) and raised, Hip-Hop is my first love and the only music I can put my heart into on the highest level. It is this that has definitely hindered my success in the engineering field, but has also allowed me to hone my skills at a furious and uninterrupted pace.
I graduated as an audio engineer from I.A.R. in New York City in 1997, which is really a wild year to graduate if you look at the time line of digital software. When I was schooled, the curriculum was mostly the old analog techniques, which was probably a blessing, because if you understand that, you can maneuver these beautiful programs.
My time since 2006 has been filled with one decent promo tape and a bunch of half-ass attempts to ignite the flame, but finally, I am back with a vengeance. Almost as if the information had to marinate, I have come back, armed with software that blows the mind of an old-timer like me, with more clarity and skill than in my hayday.
I am loving every second, and I hope to share the experience with the forum, trading questions and ideas in an effort to make us all better.
Thanks for having me.
