Soniccouture went to Mark Knopfler’s headquarters, the British Grove Studios in Hammersmith, west London, to record a Steinway & Sons grand piano.

The Hammersmith is a piano sample library for Kontakt and the free Kontakt Player 5.1 and later sampled with 21 velocity layers and an Anti-Repeat feature. The team captured each of the 88 notes with True Sustain.

The library is available in two editions: Standard with 2 mic positions (Close with a pair of Neumann M49 and Room with Neumann M50 Decca Tree), for over 10,000 samples in total, and the Professional edition with over 30,000 samples and 6 mic positions: Close with a pair of Neumann M49 and AKG D19, Mid with pairs of Neumann KM133D and Schoeps MK4 and Room with Neumann M50 Decca Tree and Neumann KU100 Head.

The Kontakt GUI features several controls for room noise, pedal and their noises, velocity curve with a user Keyboard Learn function, as well as an effect section with convolution engine.

Pricing is 99 € / $129 for the Standard edition and 119 € / $229 for the Professional version but until May 1st, Soniccouture offers a 10 € / $20 discount off the Hammersmith Standard with promo code 33KK288 and  30 €/ $40 off the Professional edition with promo code 7EYHEGF.
