Drum Drops launches a drum pack for Kontakt

Drum Drops has released the NI Kontakt Pack, a 1963 vintage Premier Outfit 54 drum sample library for Kontakt 4.

The drums used for this NI Kontakt Pack features a 14" × 20" kick, a 5.5" × 14" snare, a 8" × 12" rack tom, a 16" × 16" floor tom, as well as 14" Zildjian A New Beat hi-hats, a 22" Zildjian K Custom Medium Ride and two 18" and 16" Zildjian K Dark Thin and Vintage Cie crashes cymbals.

The 2.5GB library included 6914 samples in 24-bit / 44.1kHz, with up to 16 velocity layers and 6 round robin samples per strike/position.

The custom interface for Kontakt 5 offers a full mixer with Solo, Mute, Phase-Reverse and Pan functions, microphone adjustments (overheads and ambient included) and channel output routing to the DAW. You can also apply a 4-band EQ, a Transient Master, a compressor and a tape saturator (on the master), and multiple convolution reverbs are included with IR from various studios. Drum Drops has also included mixing presets for those who are not familiar with drum mix. A Random feature is also present and it will be possible to change the velocity curve for each drum part.

Also included is a Performance section, in which you can modify the articulations and MIDI mappings (Addictive Drums, BFD, Drumit Five, General MIDI, iMAP, Superior Drummer and V-Drums). MIDI Learn is also available.

The NI Kontakt Pack retails for $54.25 / £35. It included the full and a Lite version of the library.
