FXpansion recently announced that the third version of its BFD virtual drums will soon be available, though the date still remains unknown.
Full details are still to be communicated, but we now know a bit more about BFD 3 new features:
- 7 new kits recorded in two studios
- Includes rock, metal, jazz and brush kits
- Tom resonance and Cymbal swell modeling
- New effects and Groove construction tools
- Improved audio engine
BFD 3 will be available as VST 2.4, AU, RTAS and AAX 64 plug-ins and standalone version for Mac OS X (10.6 and later) and Windows 7/8. Pricing is TBA.
