IK Multimedia has launched at the AppStore a new app that features iconic studio microphone models for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.

With the Mic Room app, IK Multimedia wants to give you the ability to get the sound of legendary condenser, ribbon and dynamic microphones on your iDevice. The app can be used with any analog or digital microphone, including IK Multimedia models, along with the iDevice built-in mic.

The Mic Room app ships with 9 mic models, and you can complete the collection via in-app purchases. You’ll find reproductions of the Neumann CMV-563, U67, U87 and TLM 170, AKG C12, C414 and D20, Shure SM57, SM58 and Model 55, Sennheiser MD421, MD441 and MD609, Groove Tubes MD1b-FET and VELO-8, Brauner VM1, Electro-Voice RE20, Royer R121, Beyerdynamic M160 as well as an old carbone phone capsule mic.

The app features an input level control, a level meter, a master bypass switch and it’s compatible with Audiobus and inter-app audio.
