The Virtual Guitarist series is back with this new Iron version, developed from scratch by UJam. In the future, the series will feature several banks offering each a different type of sound, playing style and setup.
Iron is dedicated to rock and heavy rock styles with a collection of riffs and chords played by a professional guitarist on a vintage instrument with different amps and effects. The 6GB bank includes a hundred styles and over 1,100 phrases that can be played in real-time from your controller, Virtual Guitarist Iron coming pre-mapped for Native Instruments’ Komplete Kontrol S and Maschine Studio.
The all-new GUI offers limited controls: you can choose the guitar’s character from four (twang, bite, soft or fat), the amp from five possible (clean, crisp, cream, crunch or metal) and can set the Thrust, swing and twang and add effects such as overdrive, delay, chorus and reverb. Dropped-D and doubling options are also available.
A VST & AU plugin for Mac OSX and Windows, the new Virtual Guitarist Iron is available for €99 from www.virtualguitarist.com, where a demo version is also available.
