4op is an Ableton sound library that provides 41 sample-based FM instruments.
All sounds are captured from a Yamaha TX81z synthesizer. This little 1-unit rackmount module from 1987 uses 8 different waveforms on each of its 4 operators.
The 4op Live Pack is based on about 1000 samples and delivers a collection of Basses, Glasses and Bells, a variety of FM-like Keys, Pads and Strings plus some retro-FX sounds.
Additionally the sonic range of each prests is extended by a 5th operator from Live´s Sampler, a Filter, a Shaper and more sound shaping possibilities.
