Installation is no problem and After you install the plug-ins in VST, Submitted in the utility lines installed, allows me to convert it into Audio Units.
I start Logic and everything works perfect.
If the global configuration is fairly straightforward, other points are quite complicated, as take advantage of the 4 stereo output plug-in.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I work with a Mac Powerbook G4 533 and 867, both with 1 GB of RAM under OSX Tiger. As the plug-in goes through the DSP Powercore Firewire, my computer does not use resources for this one, so I can concentrate on my cpu sequencer.
This configuration works well for me with Logic by Abelton cons of live, it's too hell for the buffer rgler & co ... Every time I run the virus ... Plantade is my ordis, and I am even a fatal error ... Therefore tweak the rglages (PowerCore Abelton +), up to do .... trs is long and tedious (I have also not yet ...)

OVERALL OPINION

It works great, and the sound .. anything wrong, it's a virus!!
That said, even when there are some bugs that make its use a bit sucks!
Premire at the level of automation. APRs have a record automation on the virus, you have to save the project and close / reopen to be able to hear / see ffectues automation.
Deuxime point, as I said above, it is quite long and tedious for beginners at least, to set up its slopes to enjoy the Stros 4 channel output. And the end of the day, we can make a single automation of effects (the virus) on only one of the track.
So if you want more freedom and really enjoy the plug, it is better to take a liscence which allows to use multiple virus 4 (1 per DSP) ...
Finally, I think it's my Systm inefficient ... I can not do automation in real time during recording and turning the fader controller for my MIDI. I have a standard latency, especially ca me curves mega jerks ... Then I have to redo all the time curves in mice.

Finally, I would say there are a lot of small bugs fixed, but a Manir gnrale, the price is well worth the purchase, to enjoy the sounds and effects of the virus, that said, for the live, as SAVE a little longer and buy the hardware ERRF!

No problem with the instalation. Namely, an assignment takes you a 100% DSP. Namely, there is a version with a single license for an assignment at a time (mine) and another more expensive version (4 sale - one for each DSP).

Powercore version is free of bugs in the hardware version, which does not spoil anything (for once the computer is more stable. It is a shame!)

OVERALL OPINION

I used it six months before putting it on sale (I ironed in hardware). I love the sounds of the virus and the Powercore software version is no exception. Vst in my config, I could do without all my expanders, but not the virus. Even if there are many sounds in interressants soft, this one is among the best for those who love the sounds fat and a little grimey (pad, bass, lead dripping) and arpeggiators (very good on the virus).

I do it again the same choice, and I did it in a way since I bought an ironing VIRUS RACK XL in hardware!

having had a virus c (my favorite of all) I love ....
except the filters that are not as c (analog)
but rather it is the clone of normal virus b. ....

I had lots of synth virus + c is right for me
is the Virus Powercore are filled enormously role ..... ca claque ....
€ 750 for the card we will say that it is a good deal
yes I remake that choice even though I prefer a research Muse ....
3 quarts of vsti's etc are compatible ......
May I risk the long kept ...

_ The installation is done without problems
_ The app suffers from many bugz
_ There are four voices per instance, so you have 4 midi tracks driver to the virus, then the audio is recovered (from 1 to 4 tracks, however, the effects are common)
_The Manual and help are basic, however, the lack of media access and Tc is intolerable.

_ I use a Mac Book Pro 2.33 2GB in dual windows on Ableton Live.
_ Ouch: The app has many bugz that have never been resolved since 5 years:
timing errors: if you look closely with an oscilloscope, we observed random timings, notes lost or blocked, the lfo / arpeggiator loses sync with the host, in short, a disaster!
_The Sound is very good but unusable
_stable is a forgotten word with the virus.

OVERALL OPINION

_J'ai Machines had some hardware before moving on to any software
_The Value for money would be correct if the product worked.
_I Does not recommend this plug does not work.

I'm not gone through the old versions that were it seems problematic.
The new version is very stable 2.XX I have had no problems.
The manual is very well done with an array of different waveforms at the end. One can only regret that it is in English. Core i7 3.5GHz

I have a lience multi-DSP and I can use without crashing up to 8 simultaneous Virus (each with 4 shares, but I prefer to dedicate a plug to a sound).
It works very well, I was afraid of getting into trouble when I read a number of problems encountered by other users.

A little advice if you want to use multi-DSP: choose a PCIe to PowerCore (X8) external Firewire is really limited to use multiple instances of the virus (you will have the same power that by combining 2 X8 PowerCore Express PCIe and it would be cheaper and more).

I find instead that the multi DSP license should be automatically integrated with the plugin, price is a bit abused! I recommend you purchase the license transfer is going very well with TC.

OVERALL OPINION

I use since June 2010 and I am delighted.
It is light years away from other VSTi level sound is pure, it sounds great, I can very quickly become indispensable.
The only native plugin which can be approached at the sound quality is Tone2 Gladiator.
