IK Multimedia announces the release of iLectric Piano, a studio-quality electric piano app for iPad, now available on the App Store.

iLectric Piano offers over 40 classic electric pianos, electric grands and clavinets, all sampled from the original instruments, including EP and Wurly based on Rhodes and Wurlitzer instruments respectively, different Clavs, Pianet and Cembalet (all three are based on Hohner instruments), FM EP (sound based on the Yamaha DX-7), a Yamaha CP-70 based E Grand 1, or the E Grand 2, the Kawai version of an electric grand.

All the instruments were multi-sampled at multiple velocities.

The app features a virtual keyboard, a MIDI recorder with overdub and quantize functions, and effect section with 3-band EQ, reverb, overdrive, chorus, phaser, flanger, tremolo and auto-pan; 4 of which can be used simultaneously, transpose, metronome and tuning.

Finished recordings can be exported as WAV or m4a audio files via file sharing, email, and the copy function.

iLectric can be controlled externally via MIDI, it supports Virtual MIDI, MIDI Controllers and Program Change. It’s compatible with the iRig MIDI interface or the iRig Keys keyboard.

iLectric requires iOS 5.1 or later, and with the latest iOS devices you’ll 48 voices of polyphony.

The iLectric Piano App for iPad is available for $19.99/€15.99 from the App Store. iLectric Piano comes with 19 electric piano sounds. More piano sounds can be added with the Electric Piano Expansion Pack, which includes 22 instruments and is available as an In-App Purchase for only $9.99/€8.99.
