Every week, Audiofanzine will highlight a free plugin or software for you to experiment during the weekend. Today, we introduce the Giada sampler.
Giada is a sampler designed for DJs and live performers which allows for loading or recording up to 32 sound samples and play them in Single (drum machine) or Loop (sequencer) modes. You can then use your computer keyboard as a controller.
Giada includes editors, quantize and you can even host VST plugins.
The freeware is still in beta version, it’s in open source and available for Mac, Windows and Linux. The creator, mono.casual, announces that future updates are planned, with unlimited tracks for example.
You can download Giada for free from www.giadamusic.com.
