Download purchase only, as all the products HG Fortune. The installation was no problem in my Cubase essentiel4.
The English manual (only) which is very short comes down to naming functions with little or no description. What is annoying to the unusual features implemented. As usual with HG Fortune should try to eventually enter the set of functions and accept an element of surprise.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

No problem use.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought a month ago, aprèe have tried the freeware version. I have almost all the instruments HGF half freeware and the other purchased. They are all very useful freeware despite some limitations.

But I buy those for whom I have a particular favorite. This was the case with Serenity. For a reasonable price, Serenity comes with 128 sf2 which, combined by two, gives more than 700 presets grouped in six banks. The basic sf2 emulate Machines Strings and Choirs Synthetic dear to 80 years, giving the pads, the pads and the pads flavors quiet, mysterious, strange, heavenly. As its name implies, you will not find here atmospheres darks, glaucous or disturbing. Other HGF do very good. But to elevate his soul in the higher spheres and hear the sounds of paradise before the end of his days, I recommend it. Having had due to my age, the typical sounds of vintage synths of the 70s and 80s I think Serenity is not seeking to totally copy them but inspired by it. It has a capacity to create environments rich and complex enough easily, in few steps. This is not the case for many VST, if not only the factory presets.

For a price of about $ 50 USD I have over 700 atmospheres, with a set of changes large enough to allow me to create as many. I have not tried other machine emulations of strings as there are several currently on the market. But this will not change anything in my admiration for the intruments that come out a little off the beaten track such as HG Fortune. I am aware that this kind of little sounds not please everyone. Then a test of the freeware, to make an idea is good, buy it to support a work, when you love and you can, it's better.
