EastWest Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Gold Pro XP Edition

I haven't had any kind of compatibility issues , the program worked really good on any platform like Windows XP, Windows Seven 8 , or a MAC OS.
The book provided by the program was quite clear and I could understand the basic configuration of the program and its features.

General configuration and setup is requires some amount of time due to the high size of the program , but besides that , everything is smooth and fast.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

The software works great and its very stable and reliable.
Regarding the functions and the performances , everything is as good as it can be , I was quite surprised with the reality and power of this product.
I'm getting max performances with this great samples based pack.
I've been using it for a couple of months , but I totally love it.

OVERALL OPINION

The most precious thing about this product which I really enjoy is the quality of the sound , that big sounded brass , the reality of the violin , the tweaks , the editing features , like stoccattoo , legato , tremolo , vibrato , portamento etc , everything makes the creating process way more real and of course.
The thing that I like least about it , are the recourses that this product requires , even if this product isn't very current , it requires high cpu power , a lot of space on your hdd and a good amount of virtual memory , which I must mention is probably the only downside feature that comes with this product.

My opinion about the value of price is diverse , this product isn't a cheap one , so if your budget doesn't allow the purchase , no worries , you can find others packs much cheaper , but right now , this is probably the most powerful brassed , stringed product and as well the most realistic.

Precision and quality of the sounds 10/10.

With vertion play, cling to install! I got picked twice. Follow the letter manual. Verily.

The 64-bit is really not a luxury for the provided orchestrations. It can run with less but it will play with the hard disk streaming and freezing tracks (less stable and more binding).
Why on earth have come out Play? By kontakt report (vertion compleat) the possibilities are ridiculous. Frustrating. Performance, they, have well amliors and I say nothing with cubase 5 on Windows 7 64bit.

It is imperative to have some orchestration concepts to draw something right. I command in complete beginner, persuaded to get out of the music as sharp as demos. Alas, I have broken tooth and almost dcourag. It took a year to use acharn finally get something.
Attention programing work on this bank is asssez consquent compared to more modern banks. The possibilities of expression are fairly limits (no lgato sampl and some intruments sound pretty bad in certain contexts. This virtual orchestra is clearly comfortable in his "blockbuster".
The sound is surpassed globalament and surtou heard too! Vidos Games, pubs, and other documentary thalassa ... Once you start to use this bank, you realize that "it is used everywhere (more or less for that matter)! Some instruments are almost unusable because immediately reconaissables (marcato cellos, trombones, timpani ...)
EWQLSE is my conaissance Ochestre the most complete in this price range with VSL SE (more realistic but also more lean in the sound) and Albion (the latter can be less versatile).
It is an effective tool to model. For added ralime, we orientra to tools like spcialiss LASS, Holywood brass, holywoodwinds, Adagio ... This is not the same budjet nor the same sound!

- The installation is done it without problems?
Installing the Eastwest, so from the moment we have already installed one of their product (eg Gold), was used. So in fact the program installs the Kompakt clamped to the gold and XP pro Instruments and Multis directories containing files SCN. It also installs files NKI's on his first DVD. For other DVD, all that stuff should be in hand, so it's copy and paste files from several Giga Bytes. But otherwise it will no worries. However, Gold Pro XP is an update of Gold, so I encourage everyone to really follow the installation instructions or you will end up with a good half to install lame.

- Have you experienced any incompatibilities?
Nothing.

- The general configuration is easy?
Not much to configure (or almost nothing), just to clarify the pilot set the DFD (Direct From Disk), and of course authorize the product on the site of native instrument, which is pretty basic. I still have the logic that by default the person who installed XP Pro Gold already has the Gold, and thus know the procedure. I want to remind that the XP PRO WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT THE ORIGINAL GOLD.

- The manual is clear and sufficient? ...
American manual. I got it on the official website of the manufacturer so it is imported from California. Anyway as I am bilingual there's no worry. Other than that I find it clear enough, it specifies how many more using the product and all keyswitches among others. I do not mind me.

I put nine becaufe a little effort on installation would be welcome as copying by hand several gigabytes is boring, I think it is possible to automate this.

- The software works he correctly on this configuration?
No problem, the DFD is enabled, Pro Gold XP is loaded into Cubase SE as VST, that way I can shield tracks, nothing that jumps. A still provide a good Bécanne and especially at least 2 GB of RAM.

- This software + hardware is stable?
this way, I not had a single crash. The DFD allows me to really alleviate the RAM so that the PC runs very well.

- What is so special that you like most and least?
The sounds are great and superb quality. What I love is that they completely redo the organization of the instruments. It has a first part with the main categories: Brass, String, Woodwind, Percussion. And then in each category were the names of the instruments. Take for example the 11 violins, with a sub-category appears in: Long, Short, Effects, Crossfade, Keyswitches. You understand that there are joints in these directories. It can quickly and directly target the desired articulation. The effects are great, there are on almost all instruments. It is very easy to make music in the shower scene in the movie Psycho with these effects
In addition, the staccato / Marcattos / fast attacks are no longer the "machine gun effect" when played quickly and the new function Qlegato allows a very fast paced and realistic.

- Have you tried many other models before buying it?
Gold had before (obviously) and I have never changed. For me the best value / money market.

- How would you rate the quality / price?
A bank of superb quality at a reasonable price. Of course there's always better, but I do not want to pay over 3000 euros. But be aware that the result is there. The sounds are beautiful, nothing to say. The Service is efficient. And if we fix a small problem, the guys are there to correct the problem.
