The new sound library for Kontakt and WAV players produced by AudioThing is intended for exotic percussion fans.
To produce Tank Drum, AudioThing used an instrument made with a propane tank, on which 8 tongues were cut and tuned in E minor pentatonic. The instrument was played with hands and rubber mallets and hand and brush effects were incorporated. AudioThing explains that the sustain is long and the sound rich in harmonics.
Features:
- 7 Instruments for Kontakt
- 5 round robin samples
- 3 velocity layers
- 7 custom impulse response
- 274 samples in 24-bit / 44.1kHz WAV
Tank Drum is available for the introductory price of 24.90€, regular price is 30€. You can listen to audio demos at www.audiothing.net.
Note that a special offer is also running on the Temple of Mercury library, which price is 9.95€ instead of 14€ until June 17th.
