Hollywood Orchestral Percussion is produced by Doug Rogers, Nick Phoenix, Thomas Bergersen and engineer Shawn Murphy. All the instruments were recorded at the EastWest Studio 1 in Hollywood with 5 positions of microphones that can be controlled in PLAY 4 (decca tree, mid, close, surround and a vintage 1964 RCA deca ribbon mic).
The EastWest/Quantum Leap team adds that they focused on the speed of a performance so you’ll find in the collection specific samples for extreme tempos.
You’ll find in Hollywood Orchestral Percussion timpani, snares, cymbals, bass drums, chimes and other metals with 8 round robins.
Hollywood Orchestral Percussion is expected in the next few days and will be available in three editions:
- Diamond for $799
- Gold for $499
- Silver for $249
