Art Teknika CONSOLE 1.2

The Art Teknika Console was purchased by me back in 2005 and I actually still have it loaded until this day on one of my computers though I don’t use it much any more because I have a different program that I use now. But I didn’t like the fact that it didn’t have some sort of a built in sampler or synth with it. That almost made me not want to use it has much. The overall layout of the program isn’t very efficient to me at all. It seems like everything is just stuffed all in once space, it think they could have spent more time making the layout more usable or testing it out on some people and getting some feedback first before they put it out and started to sell it. Back when this came out they where competing with a few other very similar programs, and in my opinion now looking back those other programs where probably better than this one. Not that Art Teknika Console was bad or I regret the purchase. It just seemed like it wasn’t well though out before they released it.


SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Installing it was easy, and caused no problems (on a pc) I am not sure about installation on a mac or even how it will run on a mac if it can. At that time I didn’t have my mac yet to try and test it out.


OVERALL OPINION

In my opinion this is a good useful tool . But if you are really looking to get the best similar software you are probably better off going with Chainer. You will get more for your money without a doubt, and you will be set and satisfied and wont have anything to complain about. Purchasing this Teknika Console left me feeling like I needed more until I used Chainer and everything was fine at that point. I choose Chainer over Art Teknika.

I had no problems getting the Art Teknika Console 1.2 up and running on my machine. It was as easy as any plug-in I have installed before. The configuration of the plug-in takes a bit of getting used to, only because the plug-in is packed with a few different signal processors and each one has its own unique parameters. That being said, everything is laid out in a nice order and the interface is very user friendly. The VU meters and the EQ graph are both easy to follow and very helpful. I've never looked at the manual before as I didn't have any problems with installation and was able to figure out the plug-in as a whole pretty easily.


SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I am running the plug-in on a Mac Book Pro with a 2.2 Ghz processor and 4 GB of RAM. I have been using it in Pro Tools 7.4 with a Digi 002 rack as an audio interface and monitoring with Yamaha NS-10s. I am getting good performance from it while only using it on the master fader. Beyond that I'm not sure how well it will run, but keep in mind it is obviously a mastering plug-in and is not really intended for use beyond the master fader.


OVERALL OPINION

I've had the Teknika Console 1.2 (never had 1.1) for about a year. It is a really convenient and quick way to master mixes. The plug-in is reasonably priced and has an equalizer, a tube compressor, and a multi-band limiter. It also has sections for output leveling, presets, fading in and out and setting it to either mono or stereo. I like this mastering suite better than Izotope Ozone as I think the signal processing is more realistic and authentic, and while it is a bit more expensive than the Ozone, I think it is worth the price. Overall I like this plug-in as a cheap, all in the box option for quick and easy mastering that can add a lot to your mixes.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for live recently, replacing VStack shameful that there are errors on the part of a big box like Steinberg. This software allows the PC to act as an expander, and 100% modular nature sets no limit to the most twisted ideas that could have ...

For those who do not know, I remember the principle: you provide the modular architecture of Reaktor replacing the proprietary format of the modules by VST, VSTi, DX and DXi. It is both great and obvious, but someone had to the development: thank you Art Teknika.

By the way: this app only costs 49 euros.

Worry-free instalation, no problems either purchasing the software.
I still cons by a concern for the configured between noon in the soft, but it is not my priori.
One little thing bothering me in this app is the incompatibility with the noise reduction from Sony, to reduce noise from my guitar, I renews the plug of raygun, but not as good as sony ...

No concern for stability not a single crash depui I use it. I chained Russian twenty effect while keeping a buffer of the asio 128.

OVERALL OPINION

What is really top, is the price. $ 56 and with the rating of the dollar right now, I pay 46!

I use it primarily with my guitar, I pod virtual place. I also use it with my microphone with a vocoder, it is the top.

For me it's more than a beautiful toy rel tools, because I can not save the asio with my card, I need something external to do it, and so far I ' to have it. But as the software can be used to plug in, you can find the well-trs sound you want recorded in the preset, and the renregistr squence Guitar in Sound Forge by example, and the effects rapliqu with the preset.

I try to log another similar I do not remember the name, that is really the meileur and I think I used for a while.
