You need a Steinberg Key (such as a USB key) to install it completely. So I bought a Steinberg Key.
You need a internet connection to install. So I was in an internet cafe.
But the software for the right to download the license (which allows you to install Halion string edition) is outdated. Hum hum. It is therefore necessary to download, install, download the license on the Steinberg Key, return home and resume the installation. Nothing is easier, of course! even worse than the beats of Trip Builder in Native Instru ...
Otherwise, once crossed these barriers, it is ok. No inconsistency.
I do not really understand why with Sonar (I have version 4 producer), insert the Dxi with all tracks (for other DXi, the first will do).
otherwise the book is very well done.
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
2.4 Gh (or nearby, I do not know) 1 MB of RAM
sound card m audio delta audiophile 24/96 (live asio drivers)
Well, it's just normal, the more you put, the more it wins. I use tools like the strings arrangement, no major (with a dozen audio tracks at the base, I will not be able to add 10 more stringed instruments).
OVERALL OPINION
I've had two weeks. I tested quickly by Kompakt.
Halion is better. guitaiste as there is a range of movements (legato, spiccato, portamento etc etc) that I find interesting but that will require some time to tame them.
But the sounds are relatively artificial, it depends on the programs. In the bumps, in the end it can be good.
It's still expensive, I expected that all artificial sounds are left with soft drinks cheap.
7 months after use, I confirm what I posted. In fact, it is mainly the conventional use strings that have an artificial sound. Those corresponding to the solos are very good for an ex http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/17946 track No. 11.
