Interactive web page designer Femur Design created a kind of theremin that you can play online.
Available at www.femurdesign.com/theremin/, the instrument is based on javascript and HTML 5 and uses a Web Audio API.
To play the instrument, just move your mouse, of trackpad or finger (it works on tablets) on the main central rectangle. You can choose between 4 waveforms (sinus, square, triangle and saw), adjust the delay time, the feedback (sustain) and the Scuzz for a “dirtier” sound.
The instrument doesn’t (yet?) offer the ability to record or interact with other instruments but the designer is working on a v2.
