In this new series, Hugh Padgham has recreated the famous drums sounds that you can listen on countless iconic albums, such as Peter Gabriel’s Melt Face (3), Phil Collins’ Face Value, Genesis’ Abacad, The Police’s Ghost in the Machine and many other, by using the same microphones and gear as for the original recordings.
The first library, Big Fill Kit, is a 7GB sound library designed exclusively for the FXPansion BFD 2 and 3. It features the sounds of a Premier kit with 7 toms and kick, a Ludwig Super Sensitive snare and Sabian cymbals. The kit was recorded at The Farm Studio with the original SSL console, Neumann U87 and U47, Sennheiser MD421, STC Ball & Biscuit (omni room mic) microphones, a Urei 1176 compressor and more.
The kit is available exclusively at www.esoundz.com for $69.
