Published on 06/25/12 at 00:41The Oddity from Gmedio Gforce has worked great on my pc running windows vista and on my laptop which is running an older version of windows xp. I havent had any issues with this software plug in or any sort of crashes or glitches with my current system or set up. It actually didn’t even take that long to load up after I purchased it, it was pretty quick which was suprising because of all of the sounds and patches that it has I was expecting it to take a lot longer.
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
Software worked great in cubase and everything seems to load up perfectly, it can take a few seconds for the whole plug in to actually load but that’s only on my XP system and that’s because the whole computer is really outdated and slow now. But besides that it works great, especially on my newer pc that is running vista.
OVERALL OPINION
But best thing about Oddity (Gforce) is the patches and sounds that it as presented in the plug in. I really end up using some of them a lot and most of them I just use the preset as it is and add some minor extra effects through my mixer track just to give it a different feel. But everything comes from just the general preset. I really haven tried creating my own presets yet, though I hear its pretty easy in Oddity to do so. I just havent felt the need to do it yet because im still using most of the presets a lot, and I have been using it since 2009 or 2010 and im still using most of the basic presets and I still don’t sound outdated in my music. All of the synths are pretty warm and rich, not too many thin synths. I do also love the pads, I use them so much and I will continue to use them..
