Shure PSM 200

I have been using this product for a year or so. This is one of my favorite monitoring setups I have ever used. I used the normal monitor wedge speaker system on many stages for a long time, and they have so many shortcomings. From feedback, to not hearing yourself, to hearing too much of another band member, to hearing too much of yourself, to the sound from the monitors interfering with the sound from the PA in a bad way. These things cut down on so many of those troubles. The sound basically gets piped in right to your ears, so if you can't hear yourself, just turn it up! They can get very loud, and my band usually plays very loud, so this is obviously essential. They are a very comfortable fit in your ears, and they come with different ear pieces for different ear types. You can even get custom molds to fit you best. They are lightweight and not bulky, so when you're playing you'll forget they're even there. I was at first concerned about the sound quality I'd get, but they definitely sound great. Not that muffled, bass-less, tinny sound you might expect from tiny in-ear speakers. On the contrary the sound is full and allows you to get into your performance. It's very easy to use, and there are two separate lines on this system too. I also haven't had any problem with going too far away from the base, which would be a disaster on stage. On a couple of occasions the ear pieces did fall out, so that was one bad thing I've found with these. I was jumping around though, so I was asking for it. Overall, this is a really great way to go for wireless monitoring. It is a little bit pricey, but such a worthy investment for any serious band. You need to hear yourself, and this is the way to go. I would definitely make the same choice again.

I use the PSM200 for almost 2 years, a rate of 50 concerts per year.

What I like most is the reliability of the system (no dropouts even on large scenes), and the choice of inputs jack / XlR.En addition I use the 2 between Spar es to enter the one hand the general mix, the other a small microwave background that allows me to hear what is going on scene.ca is easy to mix and it changes lives. The case requires little under normal conditions I have 6 / 7 hours of battery life with a stack of average quality is good. I avoid the batteries I have no confidence.

What I like least: E2c headphones which lacks dynamic limit very quickly be altered by mix.Dans a lesser extent the large knob in the volume of the receiver on the strap that rubs the bass when I move and will be put a bottom is a zero (ca put pepper in the night!) In two years I have not yet found a place to hang that is both accessible and practical. (Well that's a detail I has not move !!!!).

I tried before at a concert and PSM400 PSM600 2 accessories and 2 headphones with E5. Strange to noise and I had the stalls 3 times (rules may be wrong?), For against the stereo headphones and it's still something else!

Report quality price: I bought 2 years ago 400 euros a friend that went on PSM 400, unless I am mistaken I would not find anything equivalent to that price.

In hindsight I advise the PSM 200 (mono sound suits me perfectly for what I do) but by changing the headphone (one or E5 I not know what but I will seriously address.)
Oh Beware of ear plugs adaptable to the headphone: I cast my use until I order new ones: a 30 Euro 20, is best to wash!

I was fed up with never hear me sing .. it changes your life!
It's really a good investment because, in addition to singing well understood, it protects the eardrums!
Are two input / output XLR independent fully transparent (1 input jack on the receiver: for how wired, or wireless + mode) that way you can hear the scratching and / or the instrument from the rest of the group + of his voice.

most: simplicity maddening, sound quality!
the least (very shame for the price): all plastic, no box to store all (just a cover for the receiver and headphones)

no, I only consulted full view of pros and amateurs.

Yes, it really is a blessing when one is tired of rotten returns.
However I would have liked to try a cheaper model to see if the price is really justified, but it is impossible to find in a store trying.

It's going to be ending for a year I use the kit PSM200.
My usage is, let's say, semi-rgulire (6 7 hours per week), and on scne rptitions.
I'm pretty satisfied, especially if I compare with other models of how other musicians of the orchestra.

Pros:
I've never had a problem with interference, or a mission / rception.
The sound is always nickel, I've never had a breath.
The Receivers are practical and easy to use.

Ngatifs points:
What it eats batteries like! To beginners, even the classic Duracell lasted me less than 4 hours. But since I use Duracell Procell, and it is happiness, they last me at least 8 or 9 is to say a few more benefits rpt.

This is my first purchase in ear-monitor, but I do not regret my choice.
