Distortion pedal what is most basic.
UTILIZATION
2 jacks: input, output, gain controls, level, bass and treble EQ. The grip is immediate, the settings are very intuitive and very easy. No need for a manual to get there.
SOUND QUALITY
This pedal is for all fans of the Metal-Death Sauce Swedish old-school. This is the effect used by Entombed and Dismember, with the famous grain on the edge of fuzz, very overwhelming.
The equalizer very effectively allows easy adjustment.
The gain is highly variable and progressive: we can go from clean to distortion significantly. So, we can use this as a distortion pedal is classic or as a kind of "boost" amp, and add the grain to the sound of an amp already saturated.
I recommend this use in an amp JCM800 type to get the sound of Entombed.
OVERALL OPINION
I use this pedal for almost two years.
It's a pedal that does little but does extremely well. By measuring the effect well, it can be used on some musical passages to make the guitar sound overwhelming, or simply to find the sound of Swedish death metal of the early 90's. It sounds hard to believe that his studio is associated with the sunlight in this pedal, but it's the truth!
