    UTILIZATION

    L is a gte.

Premire dception: once a guitar jack, a headphone jack and USB port required (see next paragraph), the Pocket Pod rear breaks! Practice to see the notch and turn the knobs ...

But the major weakness of the Pocket Pod is that it is absolutely without inrglable editor, Vyzex. Not only the buttons are not practical, but all possibilities are not acessible rglages directly from the machine! It is therefore essential to connect the Pocket Pod on a computer to its presets, and let the buttons after the end of the rglage Systm of cost.

    SOUND QUALITY

Given its size and its price is not bad.

Front face of a Black Box Reloaded M-Audio, I would say the high gain gnral simus are better on the Pocket Pod (from the Pod 2, so I do not compare it, it roughly the same thing), but I leave the advantage of light and effects the Black Box.

I often use a combo of 60 Power Engine Tech 21, removing the speaker simulation, the sound of the Pocket Pod win really "life," compensates ct "flat numrique" Pod used in the group condition.

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it only rarely trs in dplacement, holidays, etc..

The big plus? Its well Taile sr! And battery operation, the son down!
    Much less? Inrglable without Vyzex

I tried some prs everything is done in terms of modlisation, only one of me that is the Korg Pandora screed, the competitor at least in terms of size of the Pocket Pod.

    The report qualitprix is good.

Repeat this choice ... It will test the Pandora before, this time!

What is the connection? (Audio / MIDI)

    No.

    RESULTS:
A small box that does not look but has a lot of features, and this, with a footprint Reduces ...
The plastic case looks solid even if we take care not to sit on! The entries are damn good, and the jog control knobs are finished in short 8 / 10 because Line6 could have a case mtal, or sell in a bundle containing a cover.
    Use 8 / 10

    UTILIZATION

    Configuration gnrale Is it easy?
Yes. You plug a guitar, a headset and the sound was right away.
The presets sound and can see the perfect tense of his early bte red.

The edition of sound effects or is it easy?
Yes and no! Yes, via Vyzex, which is great as is intuitive pens and not allowed to modify in real time each patch.
No, Vyzex, but 4 controls s'avre while knowing that this is enough pod is intended for mobile use.

The manual is clear and sufficient? ...
Yes, it is the main opration are well Describes trs (drawing support) a brief quick look and it's going alone.

    RESULTS:
8 / 10 on this because the machine is ringing right now, the manual is clear but a system that edition of the effects (other than the output level control) was even apprciable t if it does not s'avre missing.

    SOUND QUALITY

The effects are they effective, suitable and adequate ralistes?
Effective: the price for the use for which the Pod has designed t: YES!
Adaptations for this award, for the use for which the Pod has designed t: YES!
Ralistes: the price for the use for which the Pod has designed t: YES!
APRS, those who want to use it as a multi-effects output on an amp on a console, or to the home studio and complain about the sound quality just makes me laugh.
For that price, it sounds perfectly Pod for mobile use, troubleshooting, jam when bb is sleeping or watching Ms. Twilight.
For everything else, it will actually "fade", "flat", "chemical" ...

    Which instruments do you use?
MH400NT ESP LH (up to EMG80/81)
Output Level: I test via M-Audio Studiophile AV-40 and Samson RH-600 headphones and I satisfied with the t trs rsultats.

What are those you prfrez, you dtest?
Objectively, at its core: the cleans are really funky, the crunches as well (a bit garish my taste), the saturation ring (despite what you read), they are a bit too compresses (this s 'means a game particulirement PM) and lack Obviously dynamics (of things) but everything is crdible.
APRS, like all Line6 products, you can browse the TOC of user presets and there are some settings that sound really nice and thunder! BALANCE:
    10/10

There is little or pro Line6 sounds, for that price, the quality is at an appointment. Big sound, jazz, blues, rock, hard, whatever your style, you should find your way between the user presets and factory presets.
Obviously, if you want to use it as a multi-effects, guitar preamp home studio, go your way, you play the wrong way. This device is "technically" and "tration" capable n'tant but not for the sound will not folichon without some post-processing!

    OVERALL OPINION

How long have you use it?
Several months. I use it when I went down to ppa mman o I have no amp ... On the train, there's no twist: it does not take place.

What is the particular feature you like best and least?
    More on: Report QualitPrix
The Cons: A more complete bundle, it would have nice t Line6 especially that chick is not usual on this point.

Have you tried many other models before acqurir?
In the same spirit (mobile solution), I had a Zoom H4. Well, there's no picture, if we consider only the "sound", the Pocket Pod is much better, less chemical and presets much better.

    How do you report qualitprix?
Trs trs good. Frankly for a hundred euros, you have something that sounds that you can really take it anywhere.

Exprience with, you will do again this choice? ...
    Yes.

    RESULTS:
This stuff is really cool: portable, simple to use, scroll, solid and cheap compare a Pod "classic". The solution of the coolest mobile market my opinion.

With the hype and fame of the POD, it was only natural that there would be something smaller. The Pocket POD is Line 6's creation to help create some sort of modeler that you can take with you no matter where you go. For such a small device, there's quite a bit packed into this thing. There are tons of different amps, cabs and effects. On top of that, there are tons of different presets you can create.

There are tons of different amps, cabs and effects. On top of that, there are tons of different presets you can create.

    UTILIZATION

POD did a great job at laying everything out in an easy to use manner. This thing is fairly tiny when compared to the original POD, so I'd say they achieved what they were set out on creating. Editing presets and setting everything up is just like any other POD. If you've used one before, you'll know how to work this without a problem. If you haven't, there shouldn't be too much of a learning curve. I wish the effects had more versatility, but I was never a huge Line 6 effects fan to begin with. Line 6 has some good manuals, so if there's anything you don't get, just check it out. One thing I do worry about is how sturdy these are. I've had a few PODs break on me when chucking them around on tour, so keep that in mind. I'm hoping it's stronger because it's smaller.

    SOUND QUALITY

If you like the Line 6 tone, you should like this. However, I was never a huge fan of the Line 6 stuff. For one, it has that standard modeler sound. What I mean is, the treble and presence has this certain frequency or something that I can't dial out. The gain is grainy, and it is the same no matter what preset you choose. The effects are weak, but that's not really a huge fault considering all the stuff that's thrown in here. The feel, however, is exactly like a modeler. If you've ever played a modeler, you know what I mean.

    OVERALL OPINION

For a practice device, this works great. You can take it with you no matter where you go and start jamming with some headphones. However, it's still that standard Line 6 tone which means that it still feels sterile and sounds a bit grainy.

Well it's a small POD! On the menu, a beautiful range of hand-picked amps modeled, and a tube preamp (modeled, huh? "We agree ...) and Fuzz. All the standard effects for guitar are combined.
Question connectors: one input and one output guitar amp out, a power supply ', an input and an output line level (for connecting a music player and a headphone out), in short, the base and a USB port as a bonus, we will return .

Question connectors: one input and one output guitar amp out, a power supply ', an input and an output line level (for connecting a music player and a headphone out), in short, the base and a USB port as a bonus, we will return .

    UTILIZATION

The configuration of the equipment is very simple and in the worst case, the manual is very clear and quite fun to read (the writing is rather relaxed, but detailed), so we do not lose much time to make adjustments and achieve the desired sound.
The real power comes over all settings through the computer via USB and all parameters are clearly visible at the same time and of course save on the POD as the computer.

    SOUND QUALITY

Come on, attacking the first sore subject: modeling. They are far from being unpleasant, sure, but they are also a bit steep, sometimes very little music. But do not spoil: for this price is very correct and properly mixed some well-played guitar can even be quite convincing, but can expect nothing more.
Second big problem with this Pocket POD in terms of sound: he snores! On stage (although I would not recommend strongly enough to use it on stage ...) it can pass, the hum can drown in the noise of the cheering crowd, and studio use ... well ... the noise gate has a job. In this connection, the embedded noise gate is not too bad, but is far from perfect.
More seriously, the problem is that the hum strike use of POD in the element that is supposed to suit him, namely the handheld gaming at home or with headphones on. The output Line out is actually quite bad and the background noise is downright unpleasant. The Amp output is much better out there and I prefer to use this output to record (it is obviously necessary that the recorder has an entry level guitar, which is so rare) because the SNR is much acceptable.

For the rest, it should anyway not expect much more for something of this price, such a wealth of amp and effect is already significant work for his ideas.

    OVERALL OPINION

I'm using it for two short months now. I bought it originally because I live abroad for a while and deprived of my amp and much of the rest of my mess I wanted to continue to scrape and work. I have not tried many other models, multi-effects at Zoom was one of the only alternatives I've found for that price, but the small size of POD has allowed me to settle quickly question.

Most of the POD, apart from its size (which I think is responsible for some problems of shielding is ...), it's very complete and sufficient unto itself (amps, effects, tuner, tap tempo function etc ...) and it is very easy to use. Minimum, and this may seem to be only a detail, it's very limited use the USB port, it serves only editing effects, can not be used as an interface (personally I m 'bump into a lot, but it's completely stupid ...) and it does not provide power to the POD and energy it takes to go through (!!!) batteries or AC power.

So we're in the presence of a good honest, but must be regarded as a work tool or a travel companion, I would not recommend its use in terms of studio or stage. I use it because I have no choice, and I'm happy enough for now, the price / quality ratio is very good, music everything is paid for a hundred dollars it is difficult to have something much better.

I probably would do that choice under conditions similar to those that are mine for now, otherwise, quite frankly never!

    UTILIZATION

This pod can be set in 2 ways, either directly or through the pod pc.
directly on the pod is a bit acrobatic, some settings are not accessible combination of button. The slide is not a super ergonomic, it was soon doing a touch of something else in wanting to go after her.

the setting on your PC using the software download. it's not too bad. Safeguarding its not very intuitive, we can easily lose the settings in court on a false manipulation.

In use, the pod turns galley "live", I used headphones for pure play the guitar work, or when I travel (it keeps me from lugging the amp). In these conditions I agree though.

    SOUND QUALITY

For the price of the beast, the sound is more than correct, there is a default, including noise (breath / crackling) on some simulation of gain, but hey, it's that a small bean.
Another black spot (it does not bother me more than that because I served as a "booster amp) simulations one can sanitizes the nature of the guitars, the" small "guitar is a little boost, then that bill than his guitar a bit distorted.

Overall it sounds correct for the use to which I intended.

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 years now working primarily as a tool, do not expect to make its main "amp".
Once the settings (through the editing software) use as amply extra and not bad, especially compared to its price (new € ~ 70)

at the base I moved to this solution to play / work without making too much noise, I had a big amp licks the house and apartment is average. more I will not go through this election, and point me toward more small amp or a good quality sound card for PC, but the cost is much higher.

Directly on the unit it's a bit difficult because some parameters require key combinations. Browsing within the presets is not very practical: in some cases, you'll press a key by mistake when you want to select another preset.

For PC editing you'll have to download the software. Storing presets is not very intuitive: you can lose your settings by mistake pretty easily.

I use it with headphones when I play guitar at home or when I'm on the road (I don't have to carry my guitar amp with me). It's ok for these applications.

Considering the price, the sound is rather good. However, I found some weak points, like noise with high-gain simulations.
Another con: the simulations don't fully reproduce the sound character of the guitar you play.

Altogether, the sound is ok for me.

    OVERALL OPINION

I've been using it for three years as a practice tool. Don't expect to be able to use it as your main amp.
Once you made your settings (with the software), it's ok as an additional amp, especially considering the price.

I bought it to play/practice without making too much noise since my big amp is not ideal to play at home. I wouldn't buy it again if I had more money. I would choose a quality compact combo or a good sound card, but it would be more expensive.
