A very unique guitar. Great for travelling with good quality sound. Or if you're one of those players whose got tons of different acoustics and wants to try something different and a little bit unique this may be it for you. I'd say it's good as a guitar to leave out and fiddle with on the couch sorta deal. For the price, including a custom gig ...
I'd be in love with this guitar if they'd give it a different neck shape. Maybe Bob Taylor will read this review and try to contact me and ask to build me one with the neck of my dreams! I'm sure that's not going to happen, but if it did, I'd stand thoroughly behind this guitar. For now, I can't, as it just does not feel good to my hands, and th...
I think we got it out the door for 8 hundred plus tax and such. Pretty ridiculous deal if you ask me. Needed some minor truss adjustment. Nothing serious. Actually it's a great guitar in terms of build. Every bit as good as my favorite taylor, which is a 526 ltd. This guitar is a value all its own. I can't figure out how Taylor can afford...
I think the best thing about this guitar, and most other Taylors I have played is the sheer playability. They just feel really good. The necks are very nice. Unfortunately the GS is a bit large for me. Which is too bad because I think these are the best strummers that Taylor makes. The price point is pretty good too. The GS6 is a better ch...
What more can I say? Taylor makes fantastic guitars, and even this lower end model is a winner. Anyone that has reservations of buying a Mexican Taylor should just play one - it is a great guitar all the way around! For anyone on a budget, this might be the one, and even guitarists that have loads of money to throw around would probably dig this...
This is a great guitar, all the way around. I'd have given it perfect marks, but the size is a touch uncomfortable to me. I wish more guitar makers would use maple for necks, back, and sides - it really is a great sounding wood. Highly recommended, but it'll cost you.

I like this guitar for the craftsmanship and quality, and for the ease of playability. The option of having a guitar that is easy to take along on trips is also a bonus. Most parents aren't going to spring for a guitar in the $400 range as a first guitar for their kids, but for those that do, this guitar is a great instrument that will still rem...
I will probably be buried with this axe. It's seen a ton of solo shows with me. It has accompanied my voice many times. I have a pretty high range so the low piano bass accents my tone nicely. I'm not sure what kind of music this was intended for but I'm doing the singer songwriter stuff. Take it and play crash by DMB and you will hear the ...
All in all I was disappointed with this guitar. I really wanted to like it, and for the $1,100 or so it sells for, it appears to be a great deal. However, when compared to a similar Martin or Gibson acoustic there really is no contest... it's just too plastic-y and brittle sounding and offers none of the warmth that I feel a good acoustic SHOULD...
