Korg Triton Studio Pro X 88Published on 10/31/08 at 16:00
Realtime and step pattern sequencing,in track sampling, two oscillators, dual appregiators,20 gb hard drive,CDR/CDRW burner. Optional 7 card expansion and Z1 synth engine MOSS board exb. can run you an extra $1,700.00. Up to 96mb ram, optional. Only can use 32mb seperately at an instance. I bought this 2 months before the TE88 came out for $1,000.00 less. Comes with SCSI for external hard drives. SCSI to USB 2.0 adapter ran me an extra $50.00. Word of advice to FutureProducers, stay up on technology but only get what you absolutely need. Live and learn.

    Price paid: $3000 USD

    UTILIZATION

If you have never used a keyboard workstation before chances are any of them will take a good bit of time and effort to fully grasp them. This beast taught me the fundamentals of using a DAW {Digital Audio Workstation}. To tell the truth I flat out learned beatmaking as a whole on this piece of kit. The touchscreen is a gem. That alone to me personally makes Tritons the best first timer keyboard workstation. The manuals are good. The Korg videos for it are good also. If you need help besides these here is two great stes for information tritonhaven.com and korgforums.com. * NEWBIES remember search first ask questions later!!!!!" Everyone will treat you better. Korg support rocks!!!!

    SOUNDS

Listen to alot of your favorite albums and you'll here it's sound all over them. People say it's played out. To all of those who say it's played out," Step your synth programming game up!", then talk to me. It sounds like beautiful music.

    OVERALL OPINION

I have never gigged her but she sits her big beatiful self nicely on my workstation desk. All 70lbs. worth!!!!! I dropped her once about 3ft. and she survived with a scratch but fully operable.

I paid 3 grand to take her out and now I know her inside and out. She's my baby girl. You dirty jokers keep your hands off of her!!!!!
