Best value:
Excellent
EKO guitars are manufactured / assembled in Italy.
Models "Ranger" are acoustic guitars, 6 and 12 string 70s.
Easel (Rosewood)
Large enough to handle 21 boxes back fairly flat.
Rosewood also
Very solid spruce top and mahogany body.
UTILIZATION
Contrary to appearances, the neck of this guitar is very nice, the back of it is varnished, it does not hang up the skin and it is ideal for all types of hands.
the 12-string guitar is particularly large, the table measures 50 cm long, 27 cm wide (that part is placed on his leg), and the strap measures 11 cm thick. (Note the angle between the splint and the table can cut blood flow in the arm if it is badly positioned (sensations of ants in the arms and hands) will depend of course on the morphology of the musician.
access to acute ends from the 15 th box.
a negative say to me, not because it really is a cut guitar for flatpicking.
Perfect for playing blues, picking ...
SOUNDS
I usually play electric guitar in a heavy metal record, but when I feel like creating intros / acoustic rides I turn directly to the guitar.
Regarding the sound: smooth, vibration soft, short and soothing, does not hurt the ears, it is not very powerful, but is also very accurate, a wide range of colors in medium and high frequencies, the cash does not produce much bass, most located in the midrange, which gives a slightly muffled sound natural and clear at the same time (6 strings and 6 strings treble), very "vintage"
Ideal for recording, equip the ROSAGE a microphone, or a studio microphone, and you will sound natural to highly crystalline, coupled with a bass guitar in the fender for the roundness, and the record is beautiful.
The 12 strings allow interesting effects reminds me Marcel Dadi, or opposite moods movies westerns (do not ask me why, it is the feeling of my personal and subjective)
OVERALL OPINION
I use it since I'm 13, I'm now almost 22, it is my first guitar that my father gave me, he has for years, and has Therefore at least 40 years if not more.
Strengths:
_ His particular sound, sound recording even natural exceptional comfort game, nice handle, good grip, no special settings to make -> action despite very low the strings do not absolutely curl, body and robust handle and a very good performance tuning.
Weaknesses:
_ Its lack of bass and power -> (WARNING: my model has fallen against a table edge wrought iron it there's years of this may be that cracks / Hits of the entire body can change some the sound of the guitar, but I want to point out the strength of manufacturing).
_L'éclisse (Side of the guitar) is a bit too wide which may interfere the playing comfort
Excellent value for money!
This guitar is now on the net between 100 and 300 euros, and sounds worth the trip!
I plan to buy the 6-string model in order to compare it to my 12-string .. So yes I will buy several copies of this guitar without hesitation because it is really worth, if you are looking after sounds deeper and more bass I recommend the Lag, medium / high range, but in case you Looking for a vintage sound The EKO Ranger is for you!
