Battle Time!

Ecler HAK 360Published on 10/07/12 at 23:27
Ecler HAK 360 is a well built high quality DJ mixer that cost over 600 dollars. The price seems high but you will get your money’s worth right away! It has a 3 band EQ and weights around 12 pounds. This mixer is gear more for the battling DJ. That is why it is so well built. This mixer is built to take a beating and keep working. The slider/fader knob is very well built, I don’t think it would ever break or cause a problem.

UTILIZATION

All of the basic functions are easy to use, they are right on the main face of the mixer. Everything is labeled, and if you understand DJ mixers then you should be able to use this without a need for a manual or with any help. I compare this mixer a...…

UTILIZATION

All of the basic functions are easy to use, they are right on the main face of the mixer. Everything is labeled, and if you understand DJ mixers then you should be able to use this without a need for a manual or with any help. I compare this mixer a lot to the Vestax PMC-07PRO. They have similar features but the HAK now cost less than that mixer.

SOUNDS

It does not generate any hiss at all, in fact it generates no noise even when used at home for personal use or practice. It has 2 channel , 2 independent master outputs, cut switches, and 3 band EQ. Plus 6 inputs, 2 Line 1 Mic, 2 Phone, 1 session Mix. When you purchase the Ecler HAK 360 you will be covered by a 1 year warranty and replacement plan.

OVERALL OPINION

I originally heard about this mixer in a magazine a while ago. I found out that a lot of guys/female DJ’s where using this mixer to battle with in Europe so I got my hands on one online and loved it. I do still own this mixer but hardly ever use it unless I battle which is slim to none now because I just don’t have time for it anymore. It has a session input on it that will allow for a daisy chain setup for multiple DJ battle setups.

Seductive ... BUT THE FINISH DOUBTFUL

I went back to scratches lately, I had the opportunity to buy cheaply the famous E-CLER HAK 360, a table which I had heard many positive but I never had the opportunity to thoroughly test ... this is now done.

At first glance, this is a pretty solid top, larger and heavier than most other mixers. To make a fast turn at the main features is quite extensive and even more than complete with respect to other tables with entries LINE / PHONO / MIX / SESSION / EFFECT / REC RCA, 4 outputs including 2 RCA and 2 XLR mic input, headphone jack. Eternal Cross Fader from E-cler, both faders and their respective settings curve on the side a bit like the Vestax PMC 07 at.

Finally, from an aesthetic point of view it's pretty simple with her black dress and gray façade metal pots in platiques

UTILIZATION

In terms of use, this is where it catches a little. Compared to other tables, the layout of knobs and their assigned function is a little mess and it will take time to adjust especially if you have been accustomed to mix with the knobs tables placed vertically, j 'not even imagine what that little give in the dark (I think equalizer) in any case I have yet not find the logic in E-CLER available except for "nothing like everyone else" !

It's a bit the same for adjusting the crossfader curve that has a design flaw because it is reversed (at least on some versions including mine) and I took some time to find the right setting curve! For Faders is less complicated at the same time, they use less especially scratch. Let's talk about the famous Eternal Cross Fader! Liquidity levels at nothing to say it's going 200 miles an hour, it feels good that it's solid, I would have preferred just a little thicker buttons but hey it's a matter of taste. Against by opening the cross is slightly longer than the other tables, we can see the scale is missing a line before closing, at first I felt like having a cross ultrafast whose opening was not levels of fluidity, with the setting that has improved a bit but hey it gives me a feeling of discomfort. I did check my cross but it was nikel ... maybe a design flaw .. will know!

SOUNDS

The levels of sound quality, I have not found levels of its concurentes I feel back on good old Vestax PMC 05 PRO II, ie a sound slightly noisy, not clear enough on certain frequencies, especially if you mix old LP, the equalizer is not necessarily the same penchant accurate. For mixing or Serato CD is much better. From a general point of view, the amplification is insufficient for my taste, it does not strike enough! Especially in Hip Hop where it can quickly saturate it or blow a bit when you push the sound and I am not an old model!

OVERALL OPINION

In the end, I kept one month because the mayonnaise did not unfortunately and it's disappointment that dominates! With ergonomics and rather dubious finish some defect at the cross, we clearly feel at E-CLER Inover and Differentiation is not a good mix. At the same it is clearly below its main rival (Vestax Pro 07, Pioneer DJM). Nine I did not really understand the price even at the time aside to take a less conventional mark, used 200euros it seems more reasonable. This is a bit harsh as much attention to finding the DJ appreciateany much but is a range of a little table top and so obviously it suffers in comparison, in the lower range (Vestax PMC 05 Pro III, Numark DXM Pro or other) is clearly match! Anyway, if like me you do not have your habits in E-CLER, test there long before you buy!

UTILIZATION

We can not be simpler, it is not ncessaire to read the manual to start using it.

SETTING THE curve and cut the front, same for the headphone output and volume.
The potentiomtre the "cut in time" is very small, which quickly turn by mistake. It is occasionally so it quune rglage perfect as a.

The elements are all well spaced trs, convenient for my large hands. All is well indicated there is no risk of mistaking CONTRL or touch one by mistake.

I do not like "slecteur cue" for the pre-cost is a fader with left and right cue1 cue2. It is notched and I Naime not a. I prfr potentiomtre a classic.
Systm for the rest of the COST is very well, costs or pre-fader postfader.

SOUNDS

Flash sound ;-)
Super EQ, although progressive amplitude to Kill.

I can not say more because I do not have a system that sound at the top :-)

<p class="MsoNormal"> - How long have you use it?

Only two days ;-) I will modify my opinion probably later ;-)

- Have you tried many other models before acqurir?

Some other tables but never really high-end part to be tested quickly.

- What is the particular feature you like best?

- Elments well spaced
- Excellent in use Scratch and Mix.
- Rglages Cut-In-Time + reverse, great for crabs.
- Xfade ultra flexible and enjoyable, another notice saying that you could blow on it. I did the test and ... yes, it moves by blowing (slightly stronger) above!
- Rglages fader curves of plutt not bad for Scratch and Mix.
- EQ trs enjoyable for the mix.
- Physical appearance ;-)

- How do you report qualitprix?

I bought it used so trs Qualitprix good value. For a new purchase, the Rane TTM56S is a bit more expensive. A cross Nuo 2.0 + eternal return or innofader also cheaper. I would much hsit.

- With the exprience, you do again this choice?

For the price I pay no hsiter is a beautiful table HipHop / Mix. If I had not had that opportunity I think I bought a nuo 2.0 + Xfade Eternal.
