Numark M3Published on 11/06/12 at 00:59
The Numark M3 is a 2 channel mixer that is more of a table top style of mixer for someone who is just starting out. It only cost 100 dollars and is made out of good materials for it to be that price. The cross fader could use some work though, I don’t see the cross fader on the Numark M3 lasting for more than 8 months if you are a heavy user. It has a 3 band EQ and frequency kill switches on it.

UTILIZATION

The Numark M3 is only a two channel mixer and it only has 2 faders on it. There are no effects on it either which is pretty standard for a mixer in this price range. The analog inputs are 2 RCA phono and 2 RCA line in, and the ouputs are 2 stereo RCA. The Numark M3 does have a...…

UTILIZATION

The Numark M3 is only a two channel mixer and it only has 2 faders on it. There are no effects on it either which is pretty standard for a mixer in this price range. The analog inputs are 2 RCA phono and 2 RCA line in, and the ouputs are 2 stereo RCA. The Numark M3 does have a headphone jack and the 3 band EQ is on both channels.

SOUNDS

This mixer is very basic, and I do not recommend getting it if you are past the beginner phase of mixing because after I was using the Numark M3 I could tell the cross fader would not last for me at all. It would only be a matter of time before it would completely break or stop working. Numark makes some really good mixers that are a couple of steps up from this one that I encourage people to check out before they get this.

OVERALL OPINION

If you get the Numark M3 you will love it but it will only be a matter of time before you need to upgrade. I suggest just getting the upgrade right away and save you some time later. If you are going to get this mixer you mine as well get the USB M6 mixer that Numark makes. It is a 4 channel mixer and will work great with your computer set up.
