having no notion of piano I can not really judge the touch
the config is very simple, your software takes care, no need to book.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for over a year year, this is my first keyboard.
for starting the mao is a good product that has said that price you have to know what to expect: a key no longer works, the pitch tremble if you play close to a subwoofer (easy problem to solve with the assignment, but can not play with the pitch wheel then) the only fader does not work anymore ..
in short, a good buy for Start, but be aware that its lifetime is limited
