Many things that everyone knows: 8 knobs, 8 sliders, 9 buttons, 2 pedals.
Side when the USB connection powers the keyboard's MIDI behave as a separate MIDI interface. Otherwise you can always feed as standard and use the midi output.
The display goes to the point (3 characters ...) but real-time information of all the values such as control changes.
You can connect two pedals with an expression (see the FAQ).
The extent of 61 notes is not a luxury and very well wish on the desktop especially as the keyboard is not too deep so we can a caller from the computer keyboard and a screen LCD pcr.
UTILIZATION
Nice touch, wide dynamic keys, the little joystick for pitch bend and modulation is super accurate.
No split disponnible channel (it would have been on a keyboard of 61 keys), but there are ways around this detail in software.
The knobs have a notch in the center. Useful poour graphic EQ, pan, shuffle ... But for a cutoff frequency of filter is catastrophic. For this kind of manipulation is best to use the faders, which are themselves highly accurate and without notching.
The selection of midi channels and memory is "stepping" which is not very practical in a live game, for example to quickly change virtual instrument (although there is room to put a pad on the board independent board). Can possibly do it via control change but it takes longer to configure.
Manuel patiellement in French but very clear and complete if it knows a little MIDI (very little for me but I understand English). See the guide for audio fanzine control changes ...
A small program used to edit programs on the PC which is much faster and further than 3 characters on the display keyboard.
OVERALL OPINION
I received a week ago, it has a pretty face but looks a little fragile. It was a little afraid to hit hard especially we see the circuit board beneath the keys. As against it is very light and easy to handle despite its size.
The most: precion its controllers and the keyboard, the price.
Cons: channel change and slow memory, impression of fragility.
I have not tried the equivalent of keyboards / controllers of other brands miais they had more the appearance of a toy.
For this price (339 Euros) it seems to me to be the strongest in the light of my tendency to m'exiter keys.
Need to see a few times.
(Update) it's been 14 months that I use and no problems (no bug keys) from the bender of a joystick that took 1 to 2 mm for the center position which is changing the tuning of a hundredth of a tone (this means not done). I put a cloth on it to protect it from dust when I do not use it I suggest you do the same. Otherwise you can go ahead bourrines buttons it's solid despite appearances.
EDIT 22/01/2009
Like many people with this keyboard keys that I walk more ... I have not had the courage to dismantle the keyboard because it only affects the last octave. To see ... So I drop the note
