DiMarzio DP720 D Activator 7 Bridge

The DiMarzio D Activator 7 Bridge pickup is DiMarzio’s attempt at creating an active sounding pickup using passive techniques. It’s a very powerful pickup with individual adjustable pole pieces, four conductor wiring and a ceramic magnet.

This pickup is kinda like a mix between the EMG 81 and the EMG 85. It’s got the aggression of the EMG 81 with the thump of the EMG 85. I'd normally say it's similar to the EMG707, but that has an almost single coil quality to it at times. It’s very tight and aggressive but blooms more than the actual active counterparts. Harmonics on this jump out nicely and it actually has some decent pick attack going on. Chris Broderick has been using these lately, and he does a great job showing off what they can do.

Given that it’s a bridge pickup, I didn’t bother splitting it. I also didn’t test out the parallel tones, so I can’t comment on that, either. I found it to match well in most woods, so there shouldn’t really be an issue as to what kind of guitar you put this in, unlike the neck pickup. It’s surprising how different the bridge and neck pickup are in terms of EQ. To me, it would make more sense if the EQs were reversed, but that’s just me. You could feel completely different.

Everybody is trying to create these pickups that are better than EMGs. Some manage to do it fairly decently, but I can’t help but think if you want that EMG tone, you should just get EMGs. People try to make out EMGs as if they’re bad pickups or that only beginners use them. That’s not true at all. Just use what you like, and don’t worry about what anybody else says. That said, this is a very cool pickup on its own. If you’re looking for a humbucker that is a little different, check these out.

Pos easel in a Epiphone Les Paul 7, micro trsractif, organic, pchu, trs Fidler transcribed the sound of wood, has a point that my taste any means bread as well as with a simple microphone, then you can be precise and incisive trs to get the maximum.
Besides working well trs splitter.

The coloration of the sound is not standard, so effective on any type of amp, the sound is HUGE on a tube amp on numrique (Line6. ..) it's pretty moyen.Ca also opens a all styles of music, when jou just the knob, you can attack with everything.

A true Russianness, and for those assets prferent there is always the EMG81 / 7 and 707, trs really diffrent D Activator 7.

Us bought for $ 60 / Pice, absolutely no regrets! Couple with a PAF7 in handle.

I will recommend one for Aria MAc50/V7 and 6cordes dja order for a custom Esp.

I have over 6 months now and after wiring problems it is finally connected.
I tested with these high-level configuration:
Ibanez Korg DT10 1527 + + + NS2 Boss Line 6 Spider II HD + Boogoe Mesa Thiele 1 * 12
and
Ibanez Marshall EL84 20/20 + 1527 + SE Custom Audio Electronics 3 + 2 * 12 Mesa Boogie Rectifier

Before I test a lot of Microphones Lespaul Gibson, an SG Custom Shop EMG 60 with 3, and Benedetti, EMG 81, EMG 85, EMG-HZ ...
In short it is good and finally the D Activator that sounds the best in bridge with a very good attack and incredible fishing.
Treble singing and less screaming I find that as the EMG 81.
Plus as defined in the bass with a depth of sound would take off the socks!
Accuracy in the Palm-mute exceptional and the overall level of bass, midrange and treble is very balanced.
Brief but good.
This is by far the best sound I've ever had be it rock or heavy metal configuration.

Apart from its clean, as any bridge pickup it sounds too fired, not at all singing ...
But no one is perfect and 88 € at Thomann I do not regret my purchase at all.

To sum up, a microphone that sends the very large dynamic and a great fishing.
A must try

After several years of games and guitars with aa different, and what microphone can be improved. Already, it sounds much better on the mahogany as lime (normal)? But I found him all the same faults.
My opinion is based on several heads Amp: Peavey 6505, Laboga M Hector Mesa Roadster, Marshall JVM and JCM, Vox Nightrain (or something like that) ...
The result is always the same, ok the sound is wicked strong and growing, but it does not really have personality and breath even after rewiring and new knob. Also accuracy can be improved in the low to very large rods (70 Si).
Always better than EMG for me and still no crillards as his last.
Tried this microphone, it is very good, but this is not the top FOR ME, maybe you do.

So voila, I now eyeing towards SD Blackout.
