To replace a couple of EMG 60-7 in the Channel and a 81 in the bridge + a
PA2 (+20 dB switch) to boost 81-7.
All connected in a Ran 7 Strings.
I'm a guitarist who quickly turned to the amp models and use on PA and monitoring.
So I have a POD HD500 and two blackstar (HT-DistX and HT-Dual) connected in LOOP for heat lamps).
The daily use of 81 after 4 years, starting to piss me off ...
Sound too cold and too clinical.
Already the Pod is not bad of its kind, to add this top is even less.
And then I saw these new pickups available on the EMG site. I tell myself it's now or never.
Perfect for all Jazz, Blues, Rock, Metal ...
Whatever type of music was fun.
Clean:
Although it will be more useful for rhythm in Crunch and Disto, The microphone is hot and its presence is nice.
With a flick of AB, it goes to the crunch (81-7 with the AP2 remained on a clean).
Distortion:
The sound is warm, a bit more vintage, but it is mostly better low dosage (useful for 7 strings) that come out the winner.
Go eyes closed I recommend it to all.
In addition the facility is great and frankly the price if not delusional in terms of quality. In any case, my guitar emerges transformed!
