UTILIZATION

Very easy to handle, the box is small this guitar does not feel it is a true
pleasure. I also have a Martin D28 and I think the format 000 is more for the
game to doigts.Le blues is his forte.

SOUNDS

Complementary to a dreadnought guitar perfect for playing with fingers and tops in the
Register blues.Moins obvious for large rhythmic.

OVERALL OPINION

I play for 3 years with this guitar and it's always a pleasure to its size and
it makes a great companion.
I bought 2600 euros at the time but its price has since fallen.
Gibson quality is there and I recommend it.

• Carrying Case: Gig Bag Soft but very good and quite protective (yellow and éphigie Gibson Blues King). Some complain that this guitar does not come with a hard case, is already equipped with this level I found rather useful to have a case lighter and easier to wear (for the rest it must be transported under conditions I will use the more difficult case of J45).

UTILIZATION

The first time the vendor has placed in me hands, I felt like a toy.
The box is small but a normal depth.
on the other hand of this, the comfort grip is great, the hips are well marked so that the guitar takes a good stable position on the thigh.
It is very simple: two white threads on the sides and a triple (white, black, white) around the rosette.
Also the head does the Gibson logo calligraphy with old, very classy.
The back and sides are in African bubinga (I looked and saw that it is an African essence which comes mainly from Cameroon and Gabon, close to mahogany), finishing at this level is very dark with little drawing out the wood.
Cons by Sitka spruce is the table which is superb, the fibers are smooth and tight and it contains the name of his finishing (Old Violin Sunburst). Also it has this appearance of varnished wood of an ancient instrument and it smells very pleasant scents the whole room where you play.
The dam is classic X but it is lightweight and equipped with bar attachments. The main bars are thin and tall at the intersection but falling rapidly.
Profile mahogany neck is very thin and resembles a V in the first 3 boxes and then subsides, it is perfect for my small hands.
You feel completely comfortable on it. The rosewood fingerboard is fitted with small frets to square very well finished which allows a very smooth and comfortable feeling.
The bridge is rectangular, has a saddle piece and ankles.
The tuners are Grover mini oil bath, very effective in maintaining the agreement (with a multiplier of 14: 1, Rotomatic provide high accuracy).

SOUNDS

It is too early to judge the sound of this guitar because its serial number indicates it was a month and a half (the date of the examination is March 1 and April 12 we are), she goes to sentence of the workshop.
But I think the cons are very promising debut.
First, despite its small size the volume is surprisingly powerful and has good sustain (you can leave it resonate long). The sound is full, medium, strong, ideal for the Blues.
Also I notice already that the sound is remarkably balanced, no part of the spectrum takes the upper hand.
To judge the quality of the sound I made two records with a condenser microphone in front of the escutcheon of a J45 and the King Blues look for: to record low of the D45 (which is a guitar that I love it) a little drool when they are particularly accurate for the Blues King, with smaller scale of course and with a color a little honky tonk. But it will revisit this in a while.
The mids and highs are delicate with beautiful harmonics that are fairly unobtrusive.
In all cases there is a feeling of softness that is played in chords with a pick, the tone is sweet but perhaps not enough slack. (I read somewhere: "The grain is" dirty "just enough, take notes of the depth of the soul ... this guitar is made for blues and ragtime").
In finger-picking: it is balanced and sounds as well, for the moment I think it is particularly suited to finger-picking.
Plugged into my Shertler Unico, the sound is very clear and needs no other device, with good acoustic sounds, and it is connected joue.Le micro component system combines Active LR Baggs perfectly to the small size of The King Blues.
This is not a guitar made for frenzied rhythm with very strong resonances, but it is very musical and warm. It is a very good supplement to the J45.
An example on the type of blues Love in vain for Stone, with this aspect it sounds very woody and acoustic guitars of old.
I think over time it will be possible to obtain many variations in expression (be patient, a guitar like this it is necessary that it deserves a little, it was the same with the D45, month after month we rediscover his instrument with happiness).

OVERALL OPINION

It is still early to judge fully resolved but the beginnings are very promising and especially the grip is very comfortable for its size and comfort of its handle. No need to tame to adopt it, when I bought it I hesitated with another Gibson (Advanced Jumbo) whose sound was more appealing at first (it depends on what one wants to play) but the playability of the Blues King was immediately conquered the rest time will do its work.

I tried other CHEAPER MODELS AND WELL MEANING TO MY BEST ... THE TAKAMINE EF407 IN KOA;;; TANCLEWOOD TW23VS THE MEANING AND SOME MY MARTIN ... Hoping that it depends J'OSE DS MODELS ... I tried it in a store I had already AVTET TRIED THE OTHER MODEL IS BETTER BUT STILL LESS THAN WELL TAKAMINE TANGLEWOOD ... OR ABOUT A GUITAR IS VERY MEAN TO AWARD SHOWS AND THERE ARE A LOT BETTER CHEAPER AT OTHER BRANDS (Blueridge, RECORDING KING, TAKAMINE ...)
