Good for what it is but not what I needed

Parker Guitars P8EPublished on 05/01/15 at 10:20
First thing I want to say about this guitar is that it is absolutely beautiful! It has a unique shape and style. Even the case was beautiful! I bought this guitar new online several years ago. Unfortunately there was something wrong with the neck and maybe the nut too. The neck is super thin even for an electric guitar and the strings sort of collided with each other being too close together and never felt right to me.Also I thought the guitar was an acoustic electric guitar that I could also play as an acoustic guitar, it isn't that. You need to plug this in to get a full sound out of it. Plugged in it sounds just fine but this wasn't what I needed at the time and I sent it back even...…

You need to plug this in to get a full sound out of it. Plugged in it sounds just fine but this wasn't what I needed at the time and I sent it back even though I just loved looking at it. It was a piece of art that gave me pleasure but I couldn't afford to keep it and wanted the money for one that suited my needs at the time. I don't know if all of them have this neck problem that mine had but if you don't like a super thin neck you won't like this guitar.

On P8E carefully selected woods come from different countries thus ..
the body is maple and comes from the United State
the table when she is very thick cedar from Canada ... the rose Oval, once dcoup and decor is re-col in the bottom of the box ... and represents the brand, model and the serial number.
The mahogany neck of India with a beautiful touch in African Ebne
abalone for dco comes from Mexico

The neck has a 19 fret + placed just behind the Silet and therefore plays the role zero fret before the First case.C'est a very thin neck very pleasant and very accessible for the treble.

The neck has a 19 fret + placed just behind the Silet and therefore plays the role zero fret before the First case.C'est a very thin neck very pleasant and very accessible for the treble.
The mechanics are Grover Sta-Tite (97 series) heads in gold - 14: 1 although precise manufactured in Taiwan.
The preamp it is an active Fishman Matrix manufactured to Eatat States.
Possde guitar microphone under the bridge and a micro apparent in the neck position, we have 4 potentiomtre, one for the neck pickup, one for the microphone under the bridge, another to achieve a balance of two microphones and finally a potentiomtre for Gnral volume.
This guitar is equipped with an output jack 6.35 and an XLR output on any food by a 9v battery.
I would add that the whole is beautifully assembled and issues a remarkable product.

USE

The neck is super comfortable I think we just play everything without difficulties of the head or one a stable tuning, j'usqu'a 12 box is the comfort .. .dropoff window
and even beyond because the heel of the neck as well very thin facilitates access to acute not to mention the indentation of the box even when leaving room for large mimines.
It weighs around 2kg, really not a burden! comfort, hand perhaps for those like me who plays sitting there the constraint of angular shape at the preamp that can s' prove to be gnante but otherwise said nothing.
Acoustics sound .... The P8 issues a beautiful sound very pure crystalline rather to treble I would (probably because of the thickness of the table) but very rich and very especially on Just .Of it is matter of taste! if you like the bass deep and powerful it is better to turn to a Taylor but I'm not sure that one is better and electro.
Cot Electracoustique then the sound on! much attention dynamic, even tend to feedback if abused! the sound is sharp, clear, powerful .... the controls are prcis, ffective, no worries the color is easy touve, fishing, everything.

SONORITS

I think any kind of music can be first with this tool, I use it with an EAR for the outside and the house I live branch on the table mix XLR she even connected two Prodipe .... ben P8 moreover .I assayer also with a marshall valvastate 80v AC also requires clear channel of course.

NOTICE GLOBAL

I use since July 2007 discovery by chance, I adore this scraped it all! price obviously does not place the door all but it's really a nice instrument.La P8 is a high end is a guitar that rivals Taylor, Lakewood, eg ...
My regret is that we talk about it any more I think in general the Parker brand is not enough Represent and that's a shame.
Anyway it's matter of taste of course, but if we talk about "Qualit and His" I said yes! and if I had the choice again? I say yes without hesitation re, that's why I put 9 it which I was forgetting is delivered course in a beautiful tui.
Here I hopes to that this opinion will serve

Very nice instrument underrated

Designer: Parker USA
Top: solid cedar (Canada)
Sides and Back: Flamed Maple (USA)
Binding: Rosewood
Neck: Mahogany (3 parts)
Fingerboard and bridge: Ebony (Gabon)
Varnish: Japan
Assembly: China

To see all the details, see the review of five-number, it was very accurate. The only thing missing is assembled in China.
The finish is very good, it's a beautiful instrument that has a real personality. I grew up between Martin D28 and D35 of the 70s, so I'm a fan of guitars coming out of the box.

UTILIZATION

My current benchmark for guitar is the electro-EBG808 Maton TE. In short, I've never played on a guitar easier than this. We find that comparisons among good Fender electric.

So Parker is the nice, the neck is thin and comfortable access to acute rather easy. The box is small and very light so the grip is really easy.

SOUNDS

It easily adapts to any style. It sounds rather dry but well balanced with surprisingly deep bass given the size of his body.
The acoustic sound is excellent, and once connected, the quality of the system had its effect: it rocks. The 2 pickups (magnetic end of the shaft and the piezo bridge) can choose from a range of sounds truly monstrous.

OVERALL OPINION

I just acquired, is a favorite. I bought used in 1100 euros, so at that price the quality / price is totally unbeatable. I saw new between 1600 and 1800 euros, even at that price it's worth it because it competes very well with a Taylor 414CE 514CE even.

I'll tell you more after a few concerts!

There is a button for the bass, one for treble and one for the mix of both pickups. On the rear edge there is a compartment for the battery, an output jack and XLR output. I signal that the finish is remarkable (even if it is RALIS in Japan as the varnish for that matter).

UTILIZATION

The handle is it pleasant? At this stage we can not say it's enjoyable because it's simple, you do not feel the stick in hand. It is very similar to a handle electric guitar (much more than a handle audio!). It has a thin profile, small and rounded (but not too much, it's not a telecaster ritchie kotzen!), It is at least as enjoyable as the handle of my parker fly deluxe wholesale (the best round that I I can have my opinion!). The key in bne adds a big plus to playing comfort CASC to acute (latest freight) is it easy? CASC Aiges to this fact with an ease rarely seen on a acoustic guitar. This handle is just a highway and for all styles. Ergonomics is it good (in terms of shape, weight ...)? It is excellent, the guitar weighs only 2 kilos you do not even feel you. Although the form of s owner shall adopt very pronounced (but that makes it unique and beautiful) they do not hurt and do not impair the comfort and exemplary guitar (the guitar body is grement vas). The guitar is a little less Paisse a standard jumbo guitar, this despite the propagation of sound in acoustics is excellent and ample. Do you get a good sound easy? I do not remember having had a bad sound or even as a sound means that electro acoustics with the Parker. To empty the sound has nowhere else but it's the grain that is unique, AC must be the merging of two different rosettes (a folk and gypsy guitar) and thus forms one of the p8!

SOUNDS

Appropriate are your musical style? Once connected you can get what you want! I dont have anything else to say more! Want folk? Ok, blues? Rock ok? Ok jazz? Ok preston reed kaki king or? Ok varietok of the gypsy? And Go! It's clear I've never set default you do what you want and always with that grain absolutely unique! The knobs are very trsractifs and efficient! What kind of sound you get and with what rglages ("crystalline", "fat ",....)? The sound of violin RESULTING employee. Maple for the case = big bass without predominant heterostandardized roundness. The sound is very warm and specific on it in any situation. Great precision and perfect balance of notes each mane of P8. What are the sounds you prfrez that hates you? I do not hates but I love playing preston reed kaki king or with, he was going very well (even in fesant of rhythmic tap on the box). I also like to thanks to its style and grain put me in another fashion gypsy time in this area and it makes misfortunes (what !!!!!). presence With what (s) amplifier (s) or effect (s) do you play? Whether empty or branch you never know it but it is true that in a "real" acoustic amp it's magic lights ............

OVERALL OPINION

For how long have you been using it? It is now several months I never left her (my fly began to take the dust!) I normment panou with her. I take for my lectures for the m'viter lug the whole nine yards and I never had any problem that has either electronic or from the violin that does not move a hair! Have you tried many other models before acqurir? This is a guitar that has a "me" and all guitars are unfortunately not prtendre! I love big Martins, real gibson (a SJ 200 EC will fill me I think), and Taylor, Takamine, but some even if they are all excellent in their field they will say the Parker P8EN guitar and electro / acoustic The most unusual I have encountered both sound and visual. She knows how to do many things but is not made for a style more than another (which does not prevents it from having a single grain and character!). It's a guitar like a violin World. What is the specific feature you like best, the least? I am being very quickly attach part of AC quality of violin (the superb and Rosewood, not to mention the pearl etc etc. ..) and its charming sound. How do you report qualitprix? I think the price especially compared and justified the competition (before having a guitar that rank among the major brand to be reckoned in 2500 to 3000 euros!) But it is mainly thanks to because it is not Entirely made in the USA because in this case it would no longer all in the same price range! With exprience, you do again this election? ... Oh yes !!!!! This guitar is too little known in France (and elsewhere too I prsume) and it is a shame. An acoustic guitar does not chosen as an electric guitar and finally it is my opinion that it fills me whatever the situation. If you have the chance to try it there is great opportunity for you to leave with!

APRS adding more months of use.

I'm still happy, despite the violin making extreme changes of rods (13-56 to 11-46) does not move a hair is always just.
The strings are 11-46 Savarez Argentine and gives greater precision and notes the considerable increase of cot Latin and solo guitar (flamenco, gypsy at the top).
It's always the perfect guitar world with his grain so special and unique.
Never to sell.
